An amazing debut novel! Would’ve preferred a little bit more to the ending, but overall really great! Can’t wait till the next book in the series!

I saw this book recommended in a YouTube video and I downloaded it and went in blind and can say that I quite enjoyed it. The premise was intriguing and the secret identity trope was definitely a first. Overall, I found it to be a quick and easy read to get through. I will read the next book. 4 out of 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everyone in this book is obnoxiously insufferable and pretentious. Being a snob about Cadbury chocolate and Macallan whisky? It’s like someone took the most basic preferences from the first page of Google and decided they made the characters seem sophisticated… yet they say “whip cream” instead of “whipped cream” I guess. This needed an editor. JFC.

First contemporary romance to hold my attention in a while, I liked the fun over-the-top vibe of the masked identity and the gamer culture references. Pacing was a bit slow and episodic after the halfway point, and the stakes felt overinflated as did the confessions of feelings/love, but I get that the drama is part of this book's vibe. SO, it obviously still kept me reading even if the dialogue and some of the romance and setting aspects (e.g., ultra-rich characters, clubbing, pet names, and texts) were not personally clicking for me. I do like the the hero's backstory and some of the commonalities with the heroine's backstory, and I wish more of that came through in their discussions, but that's probably because I enjoy more angsty versus insta-love stories.

Points for creativity with the steamy scenes for sure. All in all a fun escapist read for someone who reads and writes more historical romance.

I am VERY much looking forward to Parker's book, and I predicted his love interest early on, which has me even more excited. I'm also excited to read about Jackson, and I liked that this book has some BIPOC/LGBTQ+ central characters, including Stevie's best friend.

❛❛The red LED bathed her in its glow, turning her into an angel who had accidentally found her way into hell. An angel whom I wanted to corrupt.❜❜

Madison literally had the chance to write one of the best book and it all went downhill. The plot was all over the place. The idea has potential but the execution was terrible. I always eat up every single book with masked x gamer boy trope no matter how mediocre they are but I've my limits and I'm losing my patience lol.

— The main issue I had with this book was how insta lovey this was. We didn't saw any sort of relationship growth between the characters.
— This book was so mid and a major let down. Something just felt missing the entire time. The start of the book was okay but it all went downhill after the 40% mark.

If you want something wattpad like and smutty read this book it was quick and easy to read nonetheless.
