**I was given a free copy of this book by the author to read and review.**

BAD DEAL is the third book in the A-List Security series. It can be read as a stand alone without issue but reads so much better when you read in the order the author intended.

This series gets better and better with every book.

Harley is working security on the set for Ambrose's hit show, Traveling, that has an almost cult like following. Ambrose has always found Harley attractive and secretly crushes on him. He can't stop those feelings when Harley comes to his rescue to stop a mugging. Ambrose already suffers from an anxiety disorder and has been coping with his emotional support dog, Hercules. But having Harley around settles him in ways he didn't expect. When Harley agrees to be a "fake boyfriend" for his sisters wedding he could never expect how close he and Harley truly become but is it just the close proximity or is what between them "real" enough to last?

Harley loves his job and he notices his boss, Ambrose more than he probably should. He feels a protectiveness over him that has nothing to do with his job. Harley wants to see Ambrose safe and happy and would do anything to keep him that way. After a bit of a sexual awakening he can't keep Ambrose in the client column any longer. Volunteering to keep him safe at his niece's wedding isn't a hardship and when the line blurs between fake and real Harley can't imagine going back.

I loved Harley's big tough protective exterior and the way he was so sweet and understanding with Ambrose. The way Ambrose anxiety was written so well as was the way Harley took care of him.

I cannot wait for the next installment! He may be new to A-List Security but I can't wait to get Avery's story.

This was a really fun read, and it's a great addition to the A-List Security series. Harley was someone that I've been curious about ever since he first appeared in the series starter. He came off as rather quiet and understated, but I liked seeing the more lighthearted side of him. He was protective, which was obviously part of his job, but he also cared a great deal about those who mattered most to him. It was being around Ambrose that allowed Harley to open himself up to other possibilities that he may not have considered a year or so ago. I loved the dynamic between them and seeing them go from a professional relationship to a more personal one that went from friendship to romantic was fun. Of course, cameos from the rest of the guys from A-List Security--whether those with partners or the newbies--was a bonus. Bad Deal easily gets four stars.

I just love former SEALs turned bodyguards, and Annabeth Albert writes the bodyguard trope so well!

Bad Deal was a really sweet and steamy read, and I enjoyed it a lot. Harley and Ambrose were both great characters, I felt so much for Ambrose and his struggles with anxiety and his mental health. I could relate to some of his feelings and they felt realistic. Harley was just the sweetest and it was great seeing how he took care of Ambrose, and how he just had this sense of calm around him.

Their romance was a bit of a slow burn, I like how they took the time to explore the attraction between them, as well as Harley’s sexual discovery. It was great how open Harley were to things, and even early on it was clear that he had a soft spot for Ambrose. I l totally loved how protective Harley was of him!

The story was a little predictable at times, and I wanted a little more of the suspense plot than I got, but other than that it was an enjoyable read. The angst was mostly low throughout the book even if there was a small spike towards the end.

Definitely my favourite so far in this series - Harley and Ambrose really caught my heart!

Another stellar audiobook from Annabeth Albert! There’s something so refreshing and comforting about books with MCs in their late 30s/early 40s that have their acts together, and Annabeth’s are the best!

No unnecessary drama, just a fun forced proximity/one bed/fake dating road trip.

I loved reading this book, once I started I didn't put it down until the end. I loved the chemistry between Harley and Ambrose and the way they kind of danced around each other and how they felt. I am loving this series and can't wait for the next book.

While completely enjoyable with great characters and a storyline that will have the reader sighing with happiness, I absolutely loved how Annabeth Albert dealt with not only PTSD and anxiety, but a realization that love is just love and it does not matter which gender that love comes from. Both Harley and Ambrosse will hook the reader in from the opening pages and their romance was just a joy to read. Once again Annabeth Albert proves the MM romance is in her wheelhouse but with this story she has also mastered the human emotion as well.
