I had to reread the series before starting this one, because I could hardly remember anything. But, yeah, this is a good ending to the series. Little things about the characters still bother me (Georgina, really, why are you so intent on having a job?), and I'm so sad about the end result of some characters (ROMANNNN!) But overall, it was good. Not a very surprising twist, but a nice, happy one.

I was all, "Aw, well, that's nice." at first. Not very impressed, but pleased anyway. AND THEN, Carter's speech? OH, CARTER. You precious angel. Rainbows and happiness, all over the page.

This is one of the most amazing books I've ever read. I didn't expect the Georgina Kincaid series to end up so... dramatically. I confess I didn't expect the depth Richelle Mead put into this book, and for that I apologize.

Because I'm new at actually making reviews, I'll just list down the things that struck me the most. SPOILERS AHEAD! Here we go:
Spoiler
*Seth being Kyriakos. I mean, yes, it was kind of expected. We all know that there had to be something, some greater force, that keeps Seth going back to Georgina after all the shit they've been through.
*Roman sacrificing himself for Georgina. This one's expected too. We all know Roman really fell for Georgina, and he'd do anything for her. I just didn't expect him to actually have to do it. It actually made me cry :/ I really liked Roman, even in the first book. I was even kind of hoping he'd end up with Georgie, even though that won't obviously happen.
*Jerome betraying Georgina. Yes, he's a demon, but after saving Georgina from the Oneroi, I really thought he cared enough for her to not tattle to his superiors.
*Carter being Georgina's... angel? He's not really just a guardian, he's the angel of Georgina. Of course, I used to ship them because I almost always ship the unshippable XD Anyway, he's just too awesome. I love his wise words and advice and I'm going to miss them and himself.

This book made me cry a lot. I can't put my finger on why, though. It's either I was just really emotional last night or this book is so great it squeezed my heart until it was too much.

This book was quite disappointing! I had already guessed a fair amount of things from the book before, and I was right.

Also, I felt that Georgina was very whiny in this book. She was very far from her take-charge and never give up personallity. It took me three days to finish it, just because I didn't really feel like going on.

Even the end, that was just as I expected, and that made sense, didn't make me like the whole any better. Too predictible, and not as fun as usual, not the same humour and love that I thought the readers would get.

C'était la fin parfaite, on aurait pas pu espérer mieux. Je suis triste que cette saga soit finie!

This review was originally published at Vampire Book Club.

Note: If you have not read earlier Georgina Kincaid novels, there may be spoilers below. There are no spoilers for Succubus Revealed, however.

I didn’t think I was ready to say goodbye to Georgina Kincaid — or Seth, Carter, Jerome or even Doug. I like the (mostly) supernatural crew in Seattle. Finishing Succubus Revealed, I feel differently. Richelle Mead brought everything — including the subplots for Carter, Roman and Doug — to a worthy close. After reading the epilogue, you won’t need more Georgina. You may still relive her earlier exploits, but I believe most will feel a sense of closure as the series ends.

I won’t say if you’ll be happy. Like most novels Mead writes, Succubus Revealed throws emotional curveballs and even when you see the storm brewing, you’ll still feel the pangs alongside Georgie. As most of you will recall from Succubus Shadows, Seth’s sister-in-law is sick. For most this will probably read as a well-written plot device. The family is trying to figure out how to help when there isn’t anything they can do to fix the problem. I’m currently going through something similar, and want to praise Mead on how honest and real Georgina and Seth’s behaviors and emotions ring. Enough that it made parts hard to read for me (though I don’t believe that would be true for the majority of you). I share this for two reasons: first to praise Mead in her character development and, second, to help you understand my emotional reaction to this one may be a bit skewed.

The sad parts, though, are balanced with some serious happiness. More than one character will grow and take selfless actions that will warm you all over — reminding you of the good in people and the power of both love and friendship.

For the last few books I’ve had a running theory on how this all might end, and I’m a little disappointed that I was right. I’m happy things played out as they did, but I had hoped there would be a bigger twist — only because I’ve come to expect big shockers from Mead’s other titles. Even if you’ve long believed a certain ending for Georgina and Seth’s saga, it’s worth reading though. The other characters threw some big surprises and the exact details of how it play out are creative.

And, honestly, the ending to Succubus Revealed just had me grinning. Really, truly grinning.

Review on my blog The Fictional Reader

THE LAST BOOK GUYS. I feel like a lot of the readers of this series will find this to be the perfect ending. I just found it a bit too convenient. It did offer an interesting look on the angel-demon side and hell and Georgina’s life and colleagues.

I did think it was a satisfying ending, but I wasn’t blown away. To be honest, it’s an ending you can see coming from a mile away.

3.5 stars... a nice wrap up, but lacking some of the intrigue of previous novels.

I skipped directly from the first novel to the last novel. It was a nice wrap-up of all the mysteries set up from the beginning, hah. TBH I think I saved myself a lot of filler...! (I'm sure the other books were "fun", but clearly the main thrust of the series was in the first and last.)

This book is a really good ending to this series. It really has a "last book of the series" feel to it, you notice that this book is a bit different than the earlier books in this series. Still I really liked it and I love the ending.
