I really enjoyed this story, I flew through the majority of it, there was a long period where I wasn't sure if we'd get a happy ending and I was going to riot, but we got there in the end even if it was painful at times
- student X teacher (kinda)
- we had a one night stand and don't want a relationship but I think we should keep doing this

4 1/2 stars (I deducted 1/2 a star for being broken after reading it).
I went in blind and have to say this book wrecked me. Love always comes to those when they least expect it and when they’re not looking for it.
Hug the ones you love while you can. Make sure “I love you” are the last words spoken. Make sure the path you’re on is the path you want to be on for yourself and not the path you’re expected to be on or the path others think you should be on. Your motivations should always be for yourself first.
Writing was quippy as ever (as always) and getting to hear her read her own words just added to the excitement I had to go on this journey. She’s an always and forever writer for me.

I liked the first half of the book, but once the twist came about I knew what was going to happen (and I was right). I felt like there was almost too much going on at times, but not enough explanation of anything. Her campaign work was interesting, but not explained. Her time at Oxford was also interesting, but it's as if she went to a class once and then never again.
I also found myself not caring about any of the characters as the story went on. Ella didn't have much of a personality. Jamie's personality seemed to only be "rich, posh, and

dyingJulia's narration, as always, gets 5 stars. She's an amazing narrator and I love listening to her books. Unfortunately, the story itself here was lacking for me.

Or I guess you could say it was very good - if you like stories with sad endings, cancer, and death.
I should have looked at the actual description and not blindly trusted the author based off Thank You For Listening (which is one of my fav romances). Anyway: Nicholas Sparks fans will love this. Don't expect anything good to happen, and you'll have a blast.
