I have a lot of mix feelings about this book. I liked it. It just took me a while to connect with the characters and their story. But, once I did the story flowed easily.
The story is nicely written and interesting and the characters are okay. I can't wait to see what book 2 will bring these two.

I wish that Slade would cut it out with his, now annoying, pet name "Angel". The first time he used it it was cute but, it just got too repetitive.

I am soo loving the fact that the new trend are strong female characters! So with that being said Samantha (Angel) and Slade really are good together. They equal each other out, and bring out the best in them both. Not going to lie some of Sam actions did get on my nerve and Slade was trying his best (sometimes your past can bite you in the ass), but I can see why Sam tried to keep him at a distance with his history. I hope there is a book 2 because i feel their story is not finish!

I had to force myself to finish this book and you couldn't pay me to read the second in the series. Sam was seriously the most annoying person ever and the fact that she is drinking on almost every page of the book just adds to the irritation. I rolled my eyes at every I'm sorry coming from Slade to the point where my eyes now hurt. So disappointing. Ugh!

OMG!!! This book was an extremely pleasant surprise. I am so happy right now! I'm not even sure what made me decide to buy it, but I am sooo glad I did.

I don't know about you, but I feel like I have been reading the same damn story over and over and over again. The only thing that ever changes is the characters names. And I get that it's because that's what sells. I mean, I eat these books up, but that doesn't stop me from wanting something different. I just want someone to surprise me, to make me believe that something different is possible. And boy was I surprised. This book was really refreshing. The story is great, the characters are ALL incredible. More than anything though I really liked that I didn't feel emotionally drained after reading it. A lot of authors put so many obstacles and disasters and heartbreak in these books that when I finish them (even if I really liked it) I just don't think it was worth it. Maybe it's just me but I pick sanity and peace of mind over all consuming, gut wrenching, walk all over me, I'll be your dumb ass bitch no matter what forever love any time. I mean, let’s keep it real, who the fuck wants to go through all that, for a man?!?!?! What??? No way! Unless I’m putting myself through that torture for world peace or something, it’s just not happening.

Anyway, this is nothing like that and I guarantee, you will love it!!!!!

It's hard for me to start this review, I first read this book a couple years ago when it first came out and absolutely loved every part of it. Thinking I would re-read a favorite I started it again a couple days ago, and I was extremely disappointed. I didn't realize how bad the writing was before or how predictable the characters were. it was like every other romance novel out there, as I was reading I kept waiting for me to fall in love with the characters again but it just didn't happen. It has a great plot and has potential but the writing style and writing itself made me change my rating from four stars to three.

I did finish this novel, so it wasn't TERRIBLE or anything (god knows I've read worse), but I still had a lot of issues with it.

-Needs some serious editing. This story could have been half the length it is.
-Sam drove me absolutely bonkers. "If I tell him I love him, he'll leave." For no reason. I didn't understand her reasoning at all.
-Slade has a complete personality transplant. I understand the "I've found the one so I won't be a giant horndog" mentality, but the fact that he becomes a completely different person who loves to be all lovey dovey and overprotective? No. It doesn't flip that quickly.

Not horrible, but others have written this same story better.

I almost stopped reading right from the start but I like to give books a chance. The five star reviews really baffle me though. The insta-love story was a little hard to grasp. Then, the events that followed were just unbelievable to me. From him always apologizing, her always drinking too much, they fights in the bar...This sounds like teenage antics not an adult couple trying to make it work. Then there is the bossy, possessive way he treats her....that wasn't dominating or BDSM, that was called controlling. Lastly, the sex scenes when she was still drunk made me cringe...have never read this in a book before. The H usually waits until the h is sober so that she can make decisions for herself especially when tying someone up. I do not recommend.

Its been a while since I really started reading a really good series. And let me tell you, I am overwhelmed. I am in love with every single thing and character in this book. Its so heartwarming, funny, swoony and beautiful.

Slade, perfect Slade. Handsome Slade. Generous Slade ane sexy Slade. I loved all of his sides. He is trying so hard to change. Samantha truly took over his senses and I loved how he accepted that.
I loved how he dealt with his feelings and how he is trying to break Samantha's wall.
He took her as a challenge in the start, but then he realized that she is more! And since this moment on, he was 100% devoted to her!!!!

The beautiful Samantha. She is sensitive, heart broken, hurt, but she still had so much more to offer. She is kinda the sexy/generous next door woman.
She was totally out of Slade's league, but she gave him a chance. Most importantly, she gave herself and her heart a chance!!

Samantha and Slade's struggles were on the emotional side. Each of them is fighting their past.
Where Slade can't escape his old playthings lists and his past is always catching up with him.
Samantha is trying to overcome her negative emotions. How she thinks the ones she love the most don't return the same amount of love as her. After her mum and Jax's shock, she thought Slade would never love her like she does. Okay, I am with her that she should doubt him, but still she has to let go.
She has to let go of the guilt and all the negative feelings/thoughts! It was never her fault.

All the side/additional characters were nothing less than perfect.
Mark and Vivian were always so patient and sweet with her. Specially Vivian who was here number one wine supporter/supplier.
Holly and Micah. Holly hell, these two are the goals for having best friends like them who are in love.
Courtney and Josh, they took being sweet to the higher level.
I can't get how sweet Josh is, and how sexy/ confident Courtney is. Their book is going to be too much.
Yup, I hate what Sam's mum did, it wasn't the right choice, but still a mother has her own heart that she could never put first.

This series got me all the way in and I can't seem to get out or stop reading. And I JUST DON'T WANT TO!! My feelings for this book are undescribable.

*On a side note: I wish Samantha could drink less*
