5 The Secrets out Stars!!!

I’m always down for a Max Monroe book, they have yet to let me down. This one is not a trope I normally read, student for teacher/professor. However I already knew I was going to love this book because Ty was amazing in the previous books. Actually I’m lying I love all of the Winslow brothers so far.

Rachel and Ty’s book is full of secret moments and hilariously fun games. I adored the sister connection between Rachel and her sister, and her SIL. Of course the whole Winslow family is always a fantastic sight to behold in the book. Of course this book starts off with a great dare with Rachel at a club opening. Rachel does not have a great relationship with her father, however he sets her up with her internship at the college for the semester. Rachel is a super spitfire of a woman, she has more gumption in her pinky finger than I have in my whole body. She constantly teases Ty to the point he is speechless and I love it, she keeps him on his toes. Ty on the other hand takes his cynical side in this book and flips it around into a romantic side.

There wasn’t a part of this book I didn’t devour and love, these authors consistently deliver sassy, clever, romantic, hilarious, novels. I cannot wait for the next book, thank you to Social Butterfly PR and Max Monroe for a copy in lieu for my honest review.

These Winslow men are going to make you laugh til you cry and swoon til you can barely stand. Max Monroe are masters in their craft, they know when it’s time to laugh, time to love and time to blush.

Ty Winslow is happy for his sister and brothers, thrilled that they found their happily ever afters, but that’s not for him, why settle for one when there are so many out there to choose from? Until one fateful night on the dance floor when he meets the one who shows him that it doesn’t matter how many are out there when it’s the one they all disappear.

Ty and Rachel’s connection is pure Max Monroe magic, they have fun in all sorts of inappropriate places but that just makes it all the better. I’m always excited when I find out there is a new book out. I run, I drop whatever I’m reading and dive in, because they always entertain me with all the emotion and laughter I could ever hope for!!

Ty and Rachel's story is fun, flirty, and insanely steamy! The laugh-out-loud hilariousness of the Winslows and their significant others makes this series is a must read.

Now I'm so excited from the teaser, because if you're like me, you've been eagerly anticipating Remy's story from the very beginning and it's coming up next!

2.75 stars. Which is the lowest I think I’ve ever given to a Max Monroe book. I don’t know what’s up with my mood with their books recently but I just feel like this series isn’t it. I’m really looking forward to Remy because I love him and I hope that his book is amazing. I just felt like in this book Ty and Rachel had chemistry but I could not get over the immaturity of Rachel for a solid 2/3rds of this book. She literally was intentionally screwing with Ty while he was working. Putting his job at risk because of a game and for the feeling of needing to have the upper hand.
The last third of this book was great, and it felt like you got to see them grow and be happy. But goodness. I dunno. I wasn’t into it at all and I know that puts me in the minority. I’M SORRY! I love MM books, but this just wasn’t it for me.

Sooooo I'm conflicted about this one. There were a lot of things I really enjoyed about it. And there were a lot of things that drove me crazy about it. The story itself had me interested from the very beginning, I’m all about the chase and what not. I thought the little panty game they were playing was a little childish, but I was willing to roll with it. When they finally hooked up, I thought, YES FINALLY! What we have all been waiting for. And then every time after that drove me absolutely crazy. These two, a professor and his TA (also the dean’s daughter), have so much to lose and where do they hook up? ON CAMPUS. In the closet. In the classroom. In his office. It honestly gave me hives how reckless they were being. They both had so much to lose, Ty in particular, and they literally would just have sex in his office. That drove me crazy. It also went from an enjoyable, flirtatious chase to just one giant sex fest. And not that I normally complain about that, they were having sex and only having sex so often that I started to get bored. It wasn’t until Rachel had to go to the hospital with Ty that I became interested in the story again. I could clearly tell they were falling for each other, but also I couldn’t really tell because all they did was chase each other and have sex. It was.. a lot. Even with all that, I stuck with the story because overall I mostly liked Rachel and Ty. I hated her for how she acted in her father’s office once they got caught, but I love how Ty acted. And honestly, I thought it would go much worse when the dad found out. I guess it wasn’t as bad since Rachel was his TA and not his student. That would’ve been much worse. Lastly, I enjoyed the ending with Rachel coming to her senses and finally using that business card and calling his brother and showing up at family dinner. I thought that was a cute touch. Overall, this book was cute but it was also extremely annoying at times. I now understand all the reviews saying there was too much sex / that’s all they did. Because well, that’s all they did lol I’m not sure what I expected from this book, but it fell about average to me. While I stayed engaged for most of the book and am somewhat still interested in the other Winslow brothers, this book wasn’t my favorite. It wasn’t my least favorite either so that’s saying something.

The Secret, the third book in the wildly entertaining Winslow Brothers series by my favorite duo, Max Monroe, is a hilarious, sexy and forbidden teacher/TA romantic comedy full of back and forth banter, one-upmanship and sizzling chemistry. This book was so much fun! I loved Rachel and Ty together. From their first interaction you could feel their connection. Some of their antics and the games they played were so outrageous and funny. I chuckled the most with Rachel's stubbornness and absolute refusal to acknowledge meeting Ty beforehand.

A side story to the romance was Rachel's strained relationship with her father. She has a rebellious streak especially when it comes to him. I really enjoyed seeing her stand up for control and for what she wanted.

I am seriously loving these Winslow Brothers books. They just keep getting better and better. With all of Ty's charm and playfulness, I had him pegged as my favorite brother before this series started. Now that I've read his book I adore him even more. If I wasn't so in love with Flynn, he'd definitely be my number 1. I can’t wait to read Remy’s book next.
