Iām always gonna like TJR books but this wasnāt a full on ~love~ for me. I did rly enjoy the interview format and i think that was a great creative choice, unreliable characters and all. I think TJR has a strength for strong complex female main characters and thatāll always draw me in!!!

My expectations were really high as everyone raved about this book, but it took me around 200 pages to really fall in love it; I did.
Daisy was an imperfect character that because of neglect fell into drug abuse and alcoholism, and craved attention. The book very much highlighted the habits of people in the 70ās, especially when they surrounded themselves in the rockānāroll scene. Billy and Daisy were two characters that were like each other in a lot of ways, but whether or not it was healthy is a whole other story. Karen had a point when she said soulmates shouldnāt be two of the same.
Overall, TJRās writing (as always) was refreshing with how effortless and meaningful it is. Warren also deserves a shout out for being my favourite drummer ever :))

amazing work of art. loved every minute of reading this book. the story of Daisy Jones and the Six is unlike anything Iāve ever read and it was a book I picked up out of impulse. super excited for the movie theyāre making out of it

Returned. Thank goodness I tried the audible version; reading the magazine interview style of this book would have been much more unenjoyable. I appreciate the concept but found nothing to connect me to the characters. Just not for me though I love TJR!

I loved this book. Everything from way it was written down to the characters engrossed me. I read this book in one day over several flights and a layover. I couldnāt put it down. It was very reminiscent of āGold Dust Womanā but fictionalized. I appreciated the humor from the different perspectives on events and the effort made to make you feel like each character was truly real.

I loved the novelty of the transcript structure, even though I was not excited about it when I heard what it was. But, I did end up loving the characters and the story, and TJR accomplished a lot within a unique structure. It reminded me a lot of Almost Famous, which is one of my fave movies ever.
