"Learn from yesterday, Live for today, Hope for tomorrow." ~ Albert Einstein

This story is of two broken souls attempting to deal with their pain and grief the only way they know how. They both lost someone close to them with no warning and this loss has changed who they were into who they have become. They both have their vices that "ease" the pain but nothing can mend a broken heart better then the other part of your soul.

Arion lost the love of her life and her drug of choice is sex. Bain lost his twin and his drug of choice is pills. When these two meet by chance at a local bar, sparks fly and instantly they recognize something similar in each other.

Arion is confident and sassy but she has rules. No over nights, no feelings and when she's done with you, you're gone. She is not looking for anything other than a good time, but there is something about Bain that makes her question her rules.

Bain is a lost soul. His life is in shambles, he has no idea where he is going next. He had a promising future but lost his drive and desire the day he got the news about his sister. He doesn't think past tomorrow until he meets a blonde little firecracker, Arion. She makes him want to smile and live again, even with her ridiculous rules.

"You don't need to run from me, you can run to me. Let your walls down, Arion. I promise I won't break them."

While this story is never lacking in heat, it is truly heartbreaking. You feel bad for their pasts but possibly hopeful for their futures. Can they work out their issues and find their happily ever after?

"We effortlessly fit together, like two pieces of a puzzle snapping into place."

You think you know the answer to that, until the end...

The author acknowledged that they ended it like a douche bag, but I'm excited for the second book.

Wow! What a way to end a book!

I really enjoyed Every Soul, and that was a killer ending! I loved Bain and Arion's story, and I'm dying to find out what happens next!

Bain and Arion were both broken characters searching for a way out of the darkness. They ultimately found the light in each other. Arion and Bain were able to connect with and understand each others' brokenness. They helped each other to find their way back to taking chances and living life to its fullest. I absolutely love stories in which the characters find redemption in each other, and this was a fantastic one.

The characters were interesting, the writing was dynamic, and Every Soul provided heat as well as emotion. Oh, and - tiny spoiler - the cliffhanger ending will BLOW YOU AWAY!

This book was a really pleasant surprise. I was looking for a quick read to tide me over until the release of a book I was desperate to read and this had been sat on my kindle for a while so I dived in.

I can't remember what prompted me to buy it and I had no expectations, knew nothing of the plot and had not read anything else by the author.

Bain - sexy basketball player, 10 inches and he knows how to use it. He's a poor wounded little soldier though, his heart is broken because of the death of his twin sister Kinsey. Woven into the alternating POV chapters are snippets of what happened to Kinsey giving added depth to the story.

Arion is also wounded from the death of her fiancé. She will never love again but needs the escape of sex to forget her scars. And oh my, she is a sexy madam.

The sex scenes are off the charts hot. Two wounded souls - you know what you want to happen!

It was a really enjoyable read. I did think there was a couple of pieces in the book that could have been explored more - but that was until I got to the last page and I got a sucker punch. I'm guessing the bits and pieces I thought had been left hanging will be picked up in the sequel.

I know Nick Bateman is Miles Archer and Andrew England is the cover model for Every Soul but in my head I'm having Nick as my Bain. I bet Nick throws a mean ball!
