As I listen to this book I did find the switching between past and present hard to follow, but that was only because I had to stop start when listening. Ok storyline, enjoyed the narrator.

Enemies to lovers. Story seems entertaining so far. Pretty much the same formula as most Meghan March's books.

It’s a little cheesy but I ended up enjoying this book more than I thought I would, will definitely read the sequel

I really struggled to find anyone in this book compelling.

I love forbidden romances but I think the back and forth between present day and the past made it really difficult to follow. Also the random “cliffhanger”. I found that to be really annoying because it’s obviously just a misunderstanding.

Whitney cries too much. She was married to a famous rockstar for ten years and you’re telling me she never figured out how to save her own money or hire her own security. She wasn’t a child when she ran off she was in her twenties.

Lincoln I liked. But his overall character was “I want Whitney”. There was very little depth to him in my opinion.

Overall I think it’s a fine series if you’re looking for a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet but there are also probably much better ones out there.

We were asked not to write any spoilers, so I don’t dare give many hints about the story. I will just say that this is an addictive, passionate story about money, power and lost love. These characters are victims of their birth, born to their families in this small town, powerless against an enmity born more than a century ago. One family is rich and powerful, the other is poor and downtrod, yet both are intertwined in the history of the town. Whitney Gable is broken by the choices taken in life, Lincoln Riscoff lives an empty life, bound by the demands of his family’s empire.

This feud feels like Romeo and Juliet and a little bit of Dallas soap opera; they meet as enemies and are soon lovers, but are torn apart for ten years. She comes back home, broken and persecuted, feeling like a failure. He has lived and worked but is empty until she comes back. He decides she is his and he will not stop until he has her.

There’s hate and love, anger and compassion, broken pasts and hope for the future. We’re taken on a roller coaster of passion until we get a spectacular cliffhanger and are left hanging (or panting?) for the next installment.

I loved that the book is written in dual POV’s and alternating present and past time, so we hear the current story together with the story that split them apart ten years ago. The author’s writing is brilliant here, since all the chapters, past and present, his and hers, seam effortlessly together and we get a very cohesive and clear history. I loved the humanity of all the characters, some are hateful, others kind and compassionate. The old patriarchs I found childish and funny in their rivalry. I love angsty books and this one is a winner.

I liked it, but it's too short for much analysis. Miscommunication isn't my favorite but it's fine.

Welp, Meghan March has done it again. Yes, I knew that this was the first book in a trilogy, yes, I knew that it ended in a cliffhanger, but, O.M.Gosh, she has outdone herself this time. I mean, there are stories that leave you hanging, and stories that shove you right over the edge, and RICHER THAN SIN falls firmly into the second category. There I was, reading along, and now I'm sitting here thinking that I had NO idea of what was coming.

The worst part? I am completely and utterly sucked in to this story, and, with the way that it ended, I need GUILTY AS SIN (Book 2), like, five minutes ago. I mean, seriously, how the heck are we supposed to wait this one out? Because, book hangover, anyone?

Meghan's fans may think that they know her style, but RICHER THAN SIN is different than anything that I've read from her. A modern day take on the Hatfield and McCoy sort of family feud, this story is one that grabbed me from the beginning and didn't let up. Her characters are awesome, as always, and ones that I can't wait to see more of. While I hate that it's going to take two more books to bring everything together, that's two more books that I get to anticipate and enjoy. 4.5 stars of pure enjoyment, RICHER THAN SIN is the perfect way to wrap up your summer vacation, and will leave you wanting more.

It feels weird writing a review for a story that I felt like I was just getting into...although I will say I do want to now read Guilty As Sin.

This is the story of Lincoln Riscoff and Whitney Gable. Think Romeo and Juliet except they don't die in the end. No this is the story about 2 people who have a chance meeting and a wild night of sex only to find out that they are from two families that hate each other.

The story in itself is good and I like the fact, the the richer than sin, Riscoff is fully pursuing Gable. More importantly, I love how the author keeps hinting at the fact that Riscoff doesn't understand the trouble he is putting both Gable and her family in because he has never heard no I mean crap that whole town belongs to the Riscoffs. I like that Whitney tries to be true to herself but is also deeply invested in her family and her family name. The push and pull between the two characters are the best! However, the grandfather Riscoff is my favorite character and I wish I had more interaction with him.

I wish the flashbacks were a little less split across this book. Sometimes I needed to remind myself if I was in current or past. Also, I wish I knew more about Whitney as her story is very interesting considering what he find out (confirm) about her near the end of the story.

All in all I would give it a 3.5 stars for now until I read the next book in the series then I am willing to re-evaluate.

Richer Than Sin

Hot, sexy and steamy! This book has all that and more. This is the first book I have read by Meghan March and I’m hooked! She takes the two main characters on a wild ride that will push them until they will have to face what happened all those years ago.

Lincoln came home years ago and when he did he had a wild night with Whitney, who’s family is an enemy of his. And when she gets married to another man, he tries to stop it, but in the end it just doesn’t matter. Now it’s 10 years later and Whitney is coming back.

Whitney is back after her husband’s death and she knows that she has a rough road ahead. And soon she will be faced with the man she loves even though she shouldn’t.

Will they be able to get over their families opinions and issues? Or will they let one another slip through once again?

What was that ending!!!???? Now this is how a man should act when he wants his woman back. He was so determined and sincere. No games or second thoughts. He knew she was the one who got away and stopped at nothing to get her back. This was so hot and angsty and funny. I enjoyed every moment. And the ending!!!! I’ve read almost everything Meghan wrote and I will never get use to the cliffhangers. Even when I expect them. Time to start book 2.
