when I tell you I’m obsessed with their dynamic 🙂‍↕️

the entire SBMC series seems really interesting (so far I’ve only read Plum and Against a Wall, which are only adjacent really) 👀 maybe I’ll dive into Dizzy next, we’ll see

and no pressure or anything, but I’d love Harper‘s book sometime in the future - she makes for such an interesting side character

This is a new to me author. Even though this isn't the first book in the series, I was not lost. In fact, it just made me want to go back and read the other books.

I started with this book because I was intrigued about Dina . I liked the idea of a character that was "different." I was skeptical that the author could do her justice. I was wrong. Dina was delightful. I found myself enjoying her take on real life situations. I, also, loved Heavy and how he interacted with her. Together, these two had me invested from the beginning to the end. The story was great, and there were great secondary characters.

First time reading this author. Not bad, I did start at the end of the series, so bad move on my part. Dina is on the spectrum and her character is amazing. Heavy is a no nonsense type of guy. Good book

I started reading this to see if the villains from Hitting the Wall got their comeuppance, but stayed because Dina and Heavy were smoking.

She’s neurodivergent and he’s, well, heavy and ruthless (which is apt because his name is Heavy Ruth). Naturally, she seeks him out for help disposing of a body. Their first time had a lot of “you’re taking me so well” energy, which I was into. 😏 The story was very relationship-y and the motorcycle club stuff was there but in a supporting role — my favourite kind of MC romance.

Cate C Wells definitely leaves plot threads unfinished though, and I’ve come to realise I can’t expect a story where everything is wrapped up neatly with a bow. The main couple’s relationship gets a satisfying conclusion, but the side plots? I guess real life is messy.

I think I am done trying to be a MC romance girlie. I basically wanna read Harpers story and then be done with these kinda sad/kinda sweet/kinda gross romances.
