Oh my god... I thought Sarah J Maas' books were the best I've ever read but this was on par & just absolutely amazing!!

I wish I'd read this series sooner because it's bloody brilliant! What a cliffhanger to finish on!! I can't wait until April for the next book!!!

I'm aware that there are so many exclamation marks in this review but I just loved it & and want the next book nowwww!! Lol

If you're hesitant to read this series, do it - you won't regret it!

The second book of the Blood and Ash series did not disappoint. I enjoyed the progression of Poppy and Casteel’s relationship and discovering more clues about Poppy’s mysterious background. There are still so many questions left unanswered and I can’t wait to get to the next book.

Kingdom of Flesh and Fire was a bit slower burning than From Blood and Ash but I felt like there was a lot more world building that was necessary and I enjoyed. Like the first book, this sequel is somewhat lacking in originality but is compelling enough to keep me turning the page.

Okay, so I have no idea what’s going on
after that ending, but I do know I am in love with both the MMC and his tag along friend, if you know you know. But poppy could definitely get on my nerves. Despite that I thoroughly enjoyed myself & all of the world building in this book - excited for the next!

Yea I didn’t finish it. Felt “meh” about the first book and 200 pages into this one was just the same repetitive bs not to mention the lore is too convoluted. BookTok let me down.
