I absolutely loved this audiobook. The story was so honest. It's a rare thing in this genre of books, to come across an instance of miscommunication, that is so relatable and true. I loved Molly and Finn's evolution and character growth. This is a book I will come back to and listen again in the future.

“I’ve been in love with you since I was twenty-one years old. I might not wear the ring, but that doesn’t mean I don’t feel it there.”

This was such a beautiful emotionally story about learning to forgive and fix mistakes in the past, that it’s never too late. A second chance, marriage reconciliation book.

Finn and Molly have been divorced for 6 years now and when one night brings them back together, letters start showing up. Letter of things Finn didn’t send when they were together. It forces them to bring back old fights and old pain to the surface and deal with them when they couldn’t all those years ago. They learn how to love and trust one another again and most importantly how to forgive each other and themselves.

“Do me a favor. You said you ruined your life?” I nodded. “Yeah.” “Ruin it again.”

It’s clear from page one the love they still had for one another. But when the communication was lacking it drove them apart until it couldn’t be ficus. I love that they didn’t just ignore their previous issues but got to address everything that went wrong. They went back to the beginning on what happened and how they were going to not only fix it but make it better this time around. Finn didn’t give up this time and showed Molly that all the mistakes they made together weren’t worth losing each other a second time.

“My love for Finn wasn’t going to stop. I could tell myself and others I wasn’t in love with Finn. It was all lies. I’d buried that love deep, shoving it down whenever it threatened to appear, but it was still there. It had always been there.”

I love seeing Poppy and Cole happy in this book and how they played a role in all of this. The dynamic between the kids and how they were amazing parents no matter what was going on between them. Molly sticking up to her mother for herself and Finn. And the two grumpy old men making me laugh throughout the book. And I loved the reveal on who was behind the letters.

“You’ve always been a fool over her.” “Always. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

I think this book might have moved to my favorite of Perry's books. This is some of her best writing, yet!

I am one of those people who like when fiction closely mirrors reality. I have a big imagination, however it's nice to see reality with a dose of happily ever after sometimes. This book is just that. Real, raw, life. And then smiles by the end. I couldn't have asked for more from this book.

I met these characters in The Birthday List. When I saw that they were getting their own book, I was intrigued. I knew I would end up reading it at some point. I am glad I didn't put it off. This book had me turning the pages from the very beginning.

This book is a roller coaster of emotions. I was so invested in these characters and their happy ending, I had tunnel vision. The only thing I was concerned with while reading this book was this book. Nothing else really mattered. I wanted nothing more than to see these characters heal together.

The idea of the letters in this book is pretty ingenious. They made the book. At the same time, they were the only fall back for me. While they set the tone for many parts of the book. They weren't as emotional for me as they were for the characters. I get it though. They lived through those letters, however, I wanted to feel what they were feeling in that moment. And I just didn't. I felt some, but nothing overwhelming, which I think should have been overwhelming.

Overall, this book is a definite must read. You can read this one on its own if you haven't read The Birthday List. Although, you might want to read TBL because of the timeline. Either way, the book is definitely more than worth a read.

Audiobook narrators were great and I liked the dual POV, but I wasn’t a fan of Finn’s character and the cheating moment felt misplaced.

Another beautiful story by Perry. I was really excited to see what happened to Finn and Molly after loving them as side characters in Poppy and Coles’s story. I loved both books, but I think this one a little better. A wonderful duology, filled with family, friends, romance and even a bit of a mystery.
