@adelaideforrestauthor has quickly become one of my fav authors. I love being on her ARC team and I adore all stories related to the Bellandi Crime Syndicate.

This is Scar and Irina’s story. This book is not for the faint hearted! I love gore but there was one point in the story where I held my hand up against my Kindle to block out a chunk of text

5 out of 5 fantastic stars this book was absolutely phenomenal I don't think I've read a book in a long freaking time quiet like this. As soon as I read the blurb about this book I knew I had to read this book and man did it not disappoint at all. I don't want to give things away you just have to read it. Read the trigger warnings there's plenty throughout the book. This story will have you up in your feels as both mc's are so broken.

I have been anxiously and very patiently waiting for Scar's story and Adelaide Forrest did not disappoint. She gave me everything I thought I needed and so much more!
Scar's life has not been very kind to him, in the worse possible ways he has become who he is because of his past and what people he trusted had done to him. His horrendous past, his present as Ivory and Luna's personal bodyguard, have created a machine who suffers no remorse for what he does for the Bellandi family.
Irina enters into Scar's life, a beautiful butterfly that he feels is too good for him, and he keeps her at a distance, not allowing himself, or her, to get close. He feels unworthy, and resolves to go through his life without emotion or feelings and definitely feels incapable of love.
Adelaide produces characters who are severely flawed, thought to be unlovable, but she always weaves them couple together, matching their broken pieces and meshing them as one.
I will never be able to look at an axe again without envisioning that scene.

Scar is more than I could ask for!

I have anticipated Scars story for a while now and omg it didn't let me down! I definitely recommend checking out the trigger warning before diving in. Seeing the peak into his past more than explains why he is the way he is. Irina is his perfect match, I loved her throughout the story. It was amazing!

This is one of the more darker tones in the book and had triggering warnings galore but I did enjoy it, seeing Irina face her battles and how scary help her overcome it. I honestly am hoping for her new book to come out...

I have been dying to read Scar’s story and it was better than I could have ever imagined. Please check trigger warnings for this book because there’s a lot of topics and issues that could be troubling. This was heartbreakingly beautiful. Irina is such an incredible character. They both survived so much.

What an epic, heart-wrenching love story. This story will just break your heart while taking you on an epic journey. Both Irina and Scar go through horrific things on their journey to their happy ever after and it's painful and difficult to read, but for those who love angsty and emotional love stories where the main characters have to go through hell to come out on the other side for their happy ending then this one is for you. You can read this without having read any of the previous books in the series, but I definitely recommend going back and starting with the first book. For those who have been following along, Adelaide Forrest is a master at bringing back in characters we have loved and enjoyed from all the previous books, but doing it in a way that is enjoyable and seamless. This is absolutely a dark love story, and definitely contains several elements that some may find triggering. I absolutely loved this, and it's come in right at the end of the year to make it to the top of my list of favorite books of this year.

I have read every single book in this series and this one is my FAVORITE!! We get all the feels written between these pages. My heart hurt and ached for both Scar and his Butterfly. They both had shit hands handed to them for childhoods. Yes Irina may have had the riches that Scar did not have, but they both had shit parents. These two are as explosive as they come and that is saying something since Ryker and Calla are part of their family.....
Scar sets out to right the wrongs that were committed against him as a child. I will just say he definitely gives Ryker a run for his money where revenge is concerned. When he first lays eyes on his butterfly something sparks within him and he does not know how to deal with it. So what does he do? He lashes out just like the typical broody alpha male does.
Irina is a strong, sassy woman who does not need a man to make her happy. She just happens to fall in love with the one man who could break her. As war rages on the unthinkable happens where she is concerned. I love her strength and I love the way she evolves from a beautiful butterfly to a gorgeous phoenix.
Want to now what I am talking about... Grab yourself a copy, grab a box of tissues, curl up with your favorite blankie, and enjoy the emotional roller coaster ride that is Scarred Regrets!

4.25 stars for this masterpiece that both shocked me and made my heart sp!it open. Irina is the heart of Fresh Start a program that helps kids from the street but she is just as damaged as them. She has never felt a real connection till the night she meets Scar but he is too broken to let anyone touch him.
Scar grew up being abused and fiercely mistreated by the ones who were supposed to protect him. All he cares about is getting away with his little sister unharmed. Cesca is his world for a long time. He does whatever he has to in order to take care of her and feed her. Then the worst happens and Scar is even more broken than he was. The night he meets Irina on a bar stool, he knows he won't stop taking care of her and protecting her but he will never let her touch him. Never.
This book was so passionate. I loved how detailed the author got in the sex scenes. She really went there in a big way and I was there for every detail This book isn't for everyone. There are definite trigger warnings. It will surely gut you. To me it was worth it because I can't imagine not knowing Scar and Irina. What an incredible couple.
