I liked the main story between the hero and the heroine, but there were other problematic characters (including a trans character that was not done any sort of justice) that knocked this read down for me.

Caden is the star of the New York-based baseball team, the Nighthawks. Murphy is the small town girl in the Big Apple trying to build a modelling career. When Caden's home run ball shatters Murphy's cheekbone at a game, the two unexpectedly build a friendship and become close.

Overall I liked it -the writing and editing was good (one of my real bug bears is reading an e-book littered with mistakes, so thank you!) and the story flowed, even if it was a little predictable.

A couple of things bothered me though
Spoiler- firstly, how little self respect all of Murphy's housemates had for themselves that they were all sleeping with a glory-hunting IT guy. They're models for chrissakes, Tony really didn't sound special enough to warrant them all fighting over him. I know they were created to be dislikeable but it was a little far fetched.

Secondly, it was all a bit borderline incestuous. Of all the millions of people in NYC why do all the siblings in one family have to marry all the siblings in another family? And a mother from one family getting with a father from one of the others? It's weird.

I also disliked that, in order for Caden and Shane to reconcile, they had to paint Caden's dead mother in a bad light. As a single parent this irked me slightly. The hints about Lexi going missing bothered me too. Why did she disappear? Where did she go? What happened? Why include it in the story if it's not going to be expanded upon?

However, that said, it was a quick, easy and predictable read which is exactly what I wanted at the time and at least the main characters were likeable.

With the swing of the bat, baseball superstar Caden is enjoying yet another home run. That is until he realizes that the ball hit someone in the stands named Murphy. Thinking he is going to the hospital to meet an older gentleman, he is surprised when Murphy is a beautiful woman. Guilt turns into love and the two start a relationship that begins as good friends and ends as lovers. But when an ex tries to blackmail them and then releases a sex tape will their relationship be over? Or can Murphy live in the spotlight? With beautiful heartwarming characters and a storyline that locks the reader in from the first few pages this is a book that should not be missed. Nothing better than romance and baseball.

Cadens ball hits a fan at the start of this incredible story. He goes to the hospital to check on Murphy's injuries. When he walks in he realizes Murphy is a gorgeous woman and not the old man he assumed. Plus Murphy doesn't even like baseball. Soon Murphy and Caden start a friendship that each would not be able to live without. Is that why they continue to deny the attraction everyone else sees?
This book was written so well. I absolutely adored the characters and the plot. Perfect ending as well.

A perfectly average contemporary romance between a professional baseball player and a model who gets hit in the face with a home run ball.

I liked the guy - Caden a lot. He was sweet and not a player at all. The progression from friends to lovers slow and realistic. But all in all, nothing really stands out.

This was such a wonderful read. Samantha Christy knows how to write guys that are super swoon-worthy! Caden Kessler falls into that category for sure!!

Caden is the starting catcher for the NY Nighthawks. In the middle of a game, he hits a homerun that ends up hitting a fan in the stadium. Feeling guilty, he tracks this person down and visits her at the hospital. They start off as friends, but their chemistry is undeniable, and leads to more.

The writing was done well, and the pace was perfect. But I think what I loved the most were the characters in this book. Caden was a dream, and Murphy was down to Earth, despite thinking that she wouldn't be. I also loved catching up with characters from Samantha Christy's other books.

This new series is certainly off to a good start! And I can't wait to get more from Brady!

This was wonderful. I enjoyed it from the start of the book until it ended. Caden and Murphy were fantastic. I loved their banter and their slow realization of how they felt about each other.

The only thing that was sort of annoying was the time jumps after the middle of the book. It seemed like the first part of the book went at a normal pace and then one chapter ended and it was weeks later.
