A few words came to mind when reading this. Angsty. Frustrating. While I did fly through this book, and for the most part I enjoyed it, there were some things that bugged me. I get the whole feelings of unrequited love thing, but nobody is that dense. Literally everyone else saw it but three characters. I mean, really?
I also felt that the book skipped parts. I don't know if it was the writing style or what, but I felt like things jumped ahead without warning, and it left me confused. There were pages where I was flipping back and forth and re-reading whole pages to make sure i didn't accidentally skip over something.
Overall, it was a pretty good read, and I flew through it in a day. It was cutesy and worth reading, but yeah some things just really bugged me.

I was granted an advanced copy of this book through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Enjoy this book very much. This is a NA romance. The story of brother's best freind. So it has some forbidden romance to it. I like both Finley ans Ashton. Both of them deserve so much of their HEA.

The story and the plot twist is also good. Although th conflict resolves too quickly. The chemistry is also good and not OTT conversation.

Overall this is a wonderful read.

Shepard and Finley are amazing! Their story was so entertaining to read. It had angst, emotion and humor. I fell in love with all of the Farrow siblings and I want more! This was a wonderful story, Terri does not disappoint. I have a feeling we will be getting more stories involving these siblings.

A Your-Mileage-May-Vary (YMMV) Review
With sports and music in the same novel, I thought I’d finally found a New Adult novel that I could come away liking. Unfortunately, Songs for Cricket isn’t going to be that novel.

Songs for Cricket is told in first person POVs of Finley, the young woman who wants to make her college football team, and Shepard, her brother’s best friend who she’s crushed on forever. And this is problematic because the narrative is extremely stingy in providing details regarding other characters, environment, etc.

I didn't expect so much.. drama. I'm like, "woah, Shep's father is what now??" Then, I thought the story would take a darker tone, but nah, author kept it light and fluffy.

Received from Silver Dagger Book Tours

Finley and her brothers and his brother's best friends are starting college and living together. Finley always dreamed of playing football but was never allowed. Now that she is away from home, she can finally try out and do what she always wanted. She likes Shepard but feels like that could never happen. He is always surrounded by girls and her brother is crazy overprotective.

Shepard lived with her family, because of a bad situation at home. He got into college on a football scholarship, but his passion lies in music. And likes Finley, a lot.

It such a sweet romance - I love that whole falling for your brother's best friends thing. :) And the writing is so addicting, you can't stop once you start. The story gets better with each chapter. The start was a bit slow, for me, but it gets a lot better. :))

Ah, young love! The shy glances, the misunderstandings, the angst...what's not to enjoy? I love new adult romances for their young adult conflict paired with very adult sexual situations. It's a coming-of-age type of romance, where they're starting to feel out what a real relationship looks like and figuring out how to navigate "adulting" when it comes to their problems. Mom and Dad aren't there to fix things - you have to figure it out yourself. I loved the two main characters in this story, and it's obvious that the secondary characters are very deserving of their own books. I became invested in all their lives, honestly, and you'll get sucked in too.

Shepard Connelly has loved Finley Farrow ever since they became teenagers and their feelings grew from friends to something more. But Shep lived with her family, and he knew she was off limits, so he kept his distance. Years go by, and now Shep, Finley, and her two brothers are all living in the same house, getting ready to start their first year of college. No parents are around to keep them in check, and with Finley having attracted the attention of the star quarterback on their college football team, Shep is worried he has some major competition. If he doesn't speak up soon, he may lose the change to be with Finley forever.

As I said before, shy glances, misunderstandings, and angst abound in this new adult romance! Poor Shep and Finley - so cute and yet so blind to each other's feelings. You feel the tension between them, and it's a push-and-pull sort of tension, where they come so close to getting together and then something pulls them away. And then, inevitably, they're pushed together again. It's a slow burn due to all the misunderstandings, where they each think the other is interested in someone else, and so the reader will spend several chapters tearing their hair out in frustration. If only they could see what we see! Shep was a sweetheart and such a gentleman. I loved how protective he was of Finley and never forced his attentions on her, even when he wasn't at his best. He wanted her to be happy, even if it wasn't with him. *sigh* Finley was a really confident woman who wasn't afraid to go after what she wanted, even if it meant being the only female on an all-male football team. She proved herself time and time again, and she always took the high road. I really respected her. As the story progressed and things got more difficult for her and Shep, I was happy to see that they both didn't change for other people, and they didn't let opinions sway how they felt about each other.

I can't wait to read what's next for this series! This was my first book by this author, and I loved it. My guess is either Cooper or August will get their books next, but I really, badly want a book for Finn as well. Pretty please?

**I received a free copy via NetGalley and this is my honest review.**
