I have always been fascinated by Queen Elizabeth I, and in turn, her parentage. This book chronicles Anne Boleyn's meteoric rise and fall over the span of approx. 15 years. It does an excellent job of showing Anne's story, and what could have been going through her head during her life span. While not entirely non-fiction, the whole series does an excellent job of marrying truth and fiction. I rated this a four, and not as a five, only because of the simpler language.

I was obsessed with historical fiction and the English monarchy when I was young. Very appropriate for preteens.

I really liked this because I like historical type books that are also fiction. Also, it was a quick and fun read.

I started reading Carolyn Meyer's Young Royals when I was in middle school. I read the first two books then, and was happy to discover that there were more books in the series! I always enjoy reading about the Tudors, and Anne Boleyn has always been my favorite.

It took me a long time to finish this book. I have been obsessed with the story of Queen Anne Boleyn since I was around 10 years old. I know her story forwards and backwards and I thought I would enjoy this book regardless of that. There are portions that are really interesting and fast paced but the rest of it drags. I enjoyed Beware, Princess Elizabeth a lot more but perhaps that's because I didn't know her story quite as well as I know her mothers. I am reading them out of order but Mary, Bloody Mary is next on the list for me!

This book gives the story of Anne Bolyn from her perspective or what it might have been. The stories tells of her family and how she ended up in King Henry V's court and eventually became the King's mistress and wife. It brings in her relationship with her sister, other ladies in the court, as well as her "flings" leading up to becoming queen.
I really liked this book. I enjoyed reading what might have been Anne's thoughts and feelings throughout her rise and fall. Carolyn Meyer did a good job in bring history and fiction together.
