It owns your heart.

How a little orphan Anna gets adopted and changes the lives and perspectives of all those older than her.
Makes you believe in the beauty of life and get angry at the unkindness of life.

A contemplative tale of a young man and a girl and their unique friendship. It offers a look at life in the distant past as well as thoughtful deliberations about ‘Mister God’. At times, that distance in time made the book difficult to understand, especially the slang words. Additionally, some details were left too hazy for my taste. Certainly an interesting story.

I really loved this book. It feels like a portrait of what a love for others can do to ourselves and why we need to not let go of childhood. It makes me want to go back to writing things down BIG.

It's a small book I would not call it a quick read. I really enjoyed this book and found I needed time in between each chapter to really digest what I just read. This will be one I recommend.
