When reading the book my thoughts go back to Down Under. So well descripted. I got the feel of the outback. Very well written. The mistery in the story was a great to read and unexpected.

"There's no love without trust, Felicity. How can there be?"

Fenced-In Felix is the third book in the Girl Meets Girl series this time featuring Felix Jameson and her campground and trail riding operation at Jayboro Outstation in the Queensland outback. Her days are busy thanks to the influx of tourists (I loved the term grey nomads) sent by Josie, a new barmaid in Worrindi. Despite their different backgrounds and lifestyles, Felix is attracted to Josie and the feeling is mutual. When Josie asks Felix to board her horse, one which bears a striking resemblance to a missing thoroughbred, Felix begins to question Josie's motives and agenda. Can she trust this drifter she hardly knows with her heart?

Cheyenne Blue is a natural storyteller. It is easy to fall into the rhythms of everyday life in a region of the world few of us have visited. Felix has her feet planted firmly on her parents land. She is solid, stolid even and determined to make a life for herself with hard work and determination. Josie has no fond memories from her past, has made a life for herself drifting from one menial job to another. They have little in common except for their love of horses, roughing it in the wild and of course their attraction to one another.

I liked how the author portrays their differences turning them into strengths on which to build a relationship. Where Felix is reserved, Josie is outgoing and spontaneous. Felix is a planner, Josie takes chances. Felix admires Josie's innovative ideas to help her grow her business. Josie longs for the stability she sees in a life with Felix. In the end, there can be no solid relationship without trust.

I was really looking forward to reading Felix's story. This is the third book in the Girl Meets Girl series by Cheyenne Blue. I have really enjoyed this series, and think that Cheyenne Blue has done a wonderful job. The story follows Felix, who runs a campground with horse trail rides. She meets a nomad of sorts named Josie, who works nearby as a bartender. The two become friends, which leads to Felix allowing Josie's horse, Flame to be housed on the property. Flame has a striking resemblance to a missing racehorse. This leads Felix to question the ownership of Flame. The story has a little mystery, and a lot of romance. Sex scenes were pretty hot, and well written. The love story is believable and enjoyable. Characters are really a fantastic part of Blue's writing. Her characters are written so well, and are so believable. It is probably my favorite part about her writing.

The book for me was a little slow in the beginning. If you enjoy those slow burning romances you will love this book. I have enjoyed all of Blue's characters and was so happy to see reappearances. I enjoy catching up with old reads, and enjoy looking forward to future reads. I love the descriptive writing style of Blue. I always feel like I really "see" the setting and enjoy the detailed writing. Her writing is also very clear, and always well done. She is quickly moving up my list of favorite authors. For me this book was a solid 4 stars. ARC provided by YLVA publishing for an honest review.

Fenced In Felix follows our main character Felix who lives in the outback. We get to see Felix building and running her own campground where she gives a real outback experience to travelers. Felix lives in a small town where everyone knows everyone. Then Felix meets Josie, a new bar worker, while she is out advertising for her campground and the two hit it off immediately. Felix and Josie bond over horses and when Josie brings her horse to stay with Felix the mystery begins.

When I started this book I had no idea where it was going. I thought it was just going to be about Felix, her campground, and her building relationship with Josie but it was so much more. I felt that the story really picked up when the questions and concerns started to arise about Josie's horse, Flame. I cannot say much more without saying spoilers but I really loved the search Flame sent them on!

Even though this is the third book in the Girl Meets Girl series it is the first one I have read. I did not feel that I missed out on any past information. I know that some of the characters from the past book made an appearance in this book but there was enough information given about them that I didn’t feel the need to have read the other books to know them well.

Great follow up to Not-So-Straight Sue. Felix is a great main character and has some flaws to make her very human(trust issue, etc.). Josie is the love interest and shows up with a horse but it has shady history. I really like her because she is charismatic and good contrast from Felix. However, I wish the author explore more in developing the character bit more. She feels little one-dimensional as in I don't really know her that well. The mystery with the horse is light and not too complicated to follow. It's nice addition to the romance main storyline. I absolutely love Felix's friends Sue and Moni from previous novel. They are awesome ladies. This is a good read if you're looking for a romance story with light mystery that happened in Australian outback settings.
