Colleen is quickly becoming a new favorite author. I loved this book. Great cast of characters, writing and plot. All the different twists will keep you on the edge of your seat. There's quite a few surprises that pop up. Only one thing in this book bothered me. I felt this particular thing could have been resolved a whole lot sooner. Not saying what it is, I don't want to give away anything. It's a great start to another series by her.

An exciting start to a new series, this book had me up past midnight!

This book has some of my new favorite characters of Colleen Coble. I enjoyed meeting Libby and Alec. Libby's backstory and current story was especially interesting to me.

I found every subplot in this book interesting, which is not always the case for me. Sometimes there's subplots where I just don't care as much. This book included some romance, some different sorts of crimes, some family drama, and more.

Normally Coble's books are 50/50 for romance and suspense, but I felt this one was a bit more suspense and a little less romance than her usual.

The setting was done really well, and it introduced me to hurricanes and storms. I love how the characters talked about natural storms as seeing God's power.

There was a great biblical message woven into this plot as the characters struggled with some things all Christians come in contact with. It tackled some tougher biblical topics well.

When I was about 3/4 through the book I ordered the next in the series, because I knew I would need to read it!

This is one of my favorite Colleen Coble books, and has definitely earned 5 stars. This is a book I'll be recommending to several people I know.

Fun audiobook. I really liked the setting. The mystery was okay. It seemed a little far fetched, but it was a fun book to listen to while doing household chores.

This was the first Christian fiction book I've ever read. Where has it been all my life? The book progressed steadily. I was never bored. I got goosebumps a couple of times too! And the end was such a surprise for me! I'll be looking into buying more of Ms. Coble's books in the future.

There was just something about this book that I didn't like very much. It seemed ultra cringy, with the main character asking "What Would Jesus Do?", over and over again.

Everything seems to work out too perfectly for the characters. Also, the romance just seems very unnecessary.

I will be reading the second book because once I start a series, I almost always finish it.

There were a couple of parts of this book that didn't seem realistic, and a time or two that had I been reading a paper copy, I'm sure I would have had to look back because it didn't seem like things were matching up, but overall a decent story.

When a historical preservationist inherits an old inn on Hope Beach in the Outer Banks, she gains a load of trouble, too. Libby learns of her inheritance -- and a brother and sister she never knew she had -- from her friend and business partner, who is kidnapped as Libby watches on a beach cam. Libby heads straight for Hope Beach to search for her friend, claim her inheritance and discover her future.

Colleen Coble's Tidewater Inn is full of suspense, mystery and, of course, romance. What I love about Coble's books is that they're a good blend of all three. Of the four Coble books I've read, I enjoyed this one the best. Libby is searching in lots of ways, and her struggles to find family, purpose and identity are universal. Coble has a way of transporting readers to her destinations, and suddenly a vacation to the Outer Banks is on my "someday" list.

If you're looking for an escape, and don't mind a little trouble in paradise, pick up Tidewater Inn. As summer comes to a close, a virtual trip to the seaside might be just the thing to let the season linger longer.

This is the first book I have read of this author. I didn't know what genres she wrote, so I was not expecting the religious aspect. I enjoyed how she wove her beliefs into the story, and how the main character deals with her beliefs. Some good twists you aren't expecting, and when you think you have it figured out, it changes. I will read more of this author.
