I love love loved this! I love big family stories and I really enjoy reading characters who are really fighting for everything they have. For Finley Fox, it’s her home and for Archer Weston, it’s for a forever with someone. The book starts off by throwing you into the deep end with Finley’s problems, one solution is a quick fix she thinks Archer can help her with. Unbeknownst to her, this “lumbersnack,” as she so sweetly called him, is more than happy to comply as long as she knows his first intention of being in town, to help a long time friend purchase her family property. There’s some deal making and some attempts by Archer to make both parties happy. In the end, family is involved and Archer becomes a part of Finley’s life more and more. The inevitable happens between them but his goal is to still obtain har family property, or at least a portion of it.

I laughed so hard when Finley called Archer a “lumbersnack.” I really enjoyed these characters and I especially loved the big family setting and all the chaos that comes with it. The family dynamic was quite sad but with this being the first book, I can see the family getting closer and closer over the rest of the series. It definitely makes me look forward to the next book. There was romance, good humor, enough family drama and a great start to what sounds like a great series. I definitely recommend this.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

I that this story wasn't predictable the way I thought it would be and the way the synopsis made it out to be, so props to the author. I loveddd that the epilogue wasn't a wedding or proposal, but simply Easter. It was fairly easy and quick to read. A nice quick and enjoyable way to up my read count this year. Oh and there wasn't this huge thing abt the love intrest being so much bigger and stronger and aooo attractive. I liked the way archer was. a little softer maybe than most love intrests but idc.

I don't remember much of the book since it's been a while since I read it. I just looked back on my kindle and realized I hadn't reviewed it so it's like I never even read it lol. I remember feeling for the older sister-ness of the main lead. She is just struggling to keep her life/family together however she can and I appreciate that but man does that get boring. I mainly skipped to the heaty bits so don't base this review on anything serious. I feel like I should revisit this book just to remember more.
I do kinda remember the male lead not being awful and truly being a helpful and positive part of main lead life instead of causing her more grief. I think he stayed around to help her out a bunch of times and in the end worked super hard to find a agreeable outcome for everyone. Also the big city guy comes to small town and falls in love is such a refreshing twist.
