Oh my gosh I want to start off by saying that I LOVE this book. House of Bane & Blood is Peaky Blinder + Steam Punk + Magic. There’s a super interesting magic system with magic welders.

“We might have been rivals in our past, but we are together now. You are mine, and long as you are bound to me, I will do everything in my power to keep you safe.”

Camilla Marchese is going to be the heir to her families railroad on her 21st birthday, at least that was the plan until her brothers come up with a plan to marry her off to pay off a debt. Her brothers plan to marry her off to another family only for her families long term rivals/enemies give them a better deal for Camilla’s hand in marriage. Nicolai Attano’s family has been long time rivals of the Marchese and Camilla sees this marriage as a way to ruin the Attano’s. Nico wants help to find The Collector who has been kidnapping descendants and wants either Milla or her company to help. This is a classic enemies to lovers with absolutely amazing banter, dual POV, slow burn where you are begging them to finally get together.

“I couldn’t look away, even if I wanted to. He was my ruler and world and wicked purpose all in one.”

Like I said I absolutely loved this book, the banter between Milla & Nico is top tier. If you enjoy fantasy romance you will love this book.

I think this book is ham I thought this book was really enjoyable like a bit slow at times, and the characters almost were almost too stereotypical. But was fine and I’ll probably read anymore this author comes out with.

House of Bane and Blood is a fantasy romance with dark themes. The two main characters are from powerful opposing families. It is told in duel point of view from the perspective of Camilla and Nicolai.

Camilla is the MFC and she is no damsel in distress. She is tough as nails and incredibly resourceful. She would do anything her brothers ask her to do, even if it means sacrificing herself. Camilla finds herself unsure of who to trust, and where the lies began.

Nicolai is the MMC and he always gets what he wants. He’s not afraid to get his hands dirty, and he is on a path to revenge. When he meets Camilla he simply must have her, but she will not be taken so easily.

The plot of House of Bane and Blood is thrilling, and ever changing and kept me guessing every moment. There’s a whole lot of fantasy, dipped in dark romance. The world building was incredible and had many unique aspects. The character building was immaculate. This is a very fast paced book and I loved every second of it.
