She’s done it again.

J Rose, writing as Jessalyn Thorn here, knows how to write an engaging, gripping, emotional story, and fantastic, complex characters.

Following Lexi’s brutal murder and her transformation into a Redeemed was both horrible and beautiful. Her character growth from the beginning to end was amazing. She has so many layers that needed to be peeled back. It was frustrating at times, she was frustrating. But the pin was worth it.

Her mates were just as complex. Both having suffered for such a long time. I can’t wait to explore more with them in the next book.

This was such an interesting world and plot. Excited to see even more of it.

I’m so excited for book two. Can’t wait to see how everything ends.

Okay this is a different story than I thought it would be. I started and had to stop and restart a couple of times before it started to click what I was reading. I don’t read much in the urban fantasy stories. This story was very interesting and I enjoyed reading this book. I can’t wait for book 2 as this was amazing read that takes you on a journey of a world of possibilities and challenges. This suits written amazingly and the plot is very good.

That was a wild ride that kept me intrigued from beginning to end. It's the first book I've read by this author and i don't read much UF anymore, but I'm so glad I picked it up. I loved the fast pace, the twists, the emotional ups and downs, and the fabulous ending. It is a cliffhanger, but also the perfect place to end, and I can't wait for the next one.

I didn't know what to expect at first going into this book blind just from reading the blurb, but boy was I hooked from the beginning as we're taken on a emotional rollercoaster of the fmc Lexi's journey.
What a world it would be if we could be redeemed for some purpose greater in life than just what we are now. That's what drew me in with this book as Lexi has to face hard facts no matter what that there was no going back, and especially since she's been gifted with special power's and realizes she has a soul bond with Daniel, one of the people there and is a complete stranger, and has no idea how the bond works, but she knows she needs him to help with her power's to destabilize them in a way.
She keeps dreaming of another man a stranger who tell's her she's his mate that he's coming for her she doesn't tell anyone, because she think's he's not real until one day he show's up, and she find's out that he and Daniel know each other and they have a hatred towards each other, but now is not the time as war is coming.
This was so good I need that next book. This is a slow burn, but it does have it's spicy times to.

I have never read a menage book before but the fantasy aspect of this book really caught my attention. I feel like this was the perfect book to test the waters in! I had a difficult time putting it down once I started it.

This book has:
- Strong Female Protagonist (she starts off weak but she trains and grows)
- Afterlife Secret Society
- Soul Bonded/Mates
- Forced Proximity
- Found Family
- Slower Burn
- Cliffhanger Ending
- MFM
- Spice

Lex has had a very rough life, she was scared, numb, doing whatever just to survive with her younger sister. One night she was brutally murdered but woke up in a strange place, now magically gifted. She learns of The Redeemed, an afterlife secret society and a possible war. She wants nothing to do with any of them because her sister needs her.

I love how we see Lexi’s growth from being afraid to taking back her confidence. I love the sarcastic, flirty banter between the characters. I absolutely love Felix and Michael, and I swear, if anything happens to them, I'm rioting haha. I love seeing her fail, but trying again, and growing from it. But she is still human so having a few panic attacks is relatable.

The two male leads, both very attractive in their own ways, compliment Lexi beautifully and vice versa. Daniel is battling his own fears but he forms a real connection to Lexi and assists her with all her power. Valentine is more chill and understanding, but we still have so much more to learn about him! He has a mafia fighting style and won't stand for anyone touching Lexi, other than her second mate.

Overall, I really love this book! Some parts did seem a little easy to guess and there are still a lot of questions left. I hope that the second book will answer those questions as I really want to learn more. What is the start of The Redeemed? Why do the Vitae exist and take those after death? Why is allowing close family still alive to know of their life after death such a terrible idea? How did the siblings who are all Elders happen to all get powers after death? I'm very excited for book 2!

Thank you Valentine_pr and the author for the gifted e-book.

I have very much enjoyed this author’s other works (if you haven’t read them, you definitely should), so I was excited to follow her fantasy route. Now, the premise was interesting. I liked the undead dead with some supernatural abilities within a secret world within our world. There was action, there was romance and there was betrayal. It was fairly predictable at times, and it was slow and yet fast at the same time. It’s hard to describe, but I’m sure you know what I mean.

I didn’t mind the FMC, I didn’t connect with her much, but, she was probably my favorite character. The MMCs, they were OK but I think we need to get to know them. I do like that they have their own pasts, separate and together, that they need to overcome in order to form a cohesive relationship. That growth will definitely be interesting in the next book. I would have liked to know more about the villains and how they came to be so there’s a better understanding for why they are acting the way that they are.

We are thrown into the middle of a war and it feels like there are pieces missing. This was a decent introduction, and I think that once we see motives, learn about the past, and more about this prophecy, then I will feel more invested.

This has the building blocks to be an interesting and different series. I think we just need to experience more so that we can fully immerse ourselves and understand why certain things are important. With this foundation, the next book will most likely be a good sequel. We’re left on a decent cliffhanger and I’m expecting a lot of hurt, betrayal, revelations, and events we don’t see coming.

I had the opportunity to read the ARC of this book in return for my honest thoughts/opinions for Valentine PR.

It was a bit slow paced and the world building was a bit confusing, but it eventually had me hooked. Finding out that you’ve become a literal badass after living a rough life, and having not one, but TWO mates??! I loved Lexi’s character so much, she went through so much and it was heartbreaking to read it. I’m currently team Daniel, especially because we got way more of him than Valentine. I’m unwell after reading the epilogue and need more now!!

This author never disappoints!! && this has me hooked. I absolutely love the mystery that this book instills in you while reading, but towards the end of the book, gives you answers as well. A lot of books just don't answer questions and leaves you confused, but not this book. It has me on edge wanting to find out what happens next and who else could be involved with Caine. I love the two love interests. Great book!
