Hysterically funny! I chortled through this book, with the over-the-top, zany conversations between Trace “Buzz” Wallace and Hollis Westbrooke.

Buzz appeared in Hard Pass and I loved his character because he was so ridiculously confident and cocky. The way he kept invading Noah’s house and eating his food told me about a lonely man wanting company and in this book it’s confirmed. With a playboy reputation, the only women who approached him were groupies or women after fame and money, and he wanted a normal woman. One he could take home to his mother and show up to his brother Trip Wallace. Hollis was the answer!

Hollis had sworn off from baseball players, the ones who work under her father, the general manager of the Chicago Steam baseball team. After a bad experience, she concluded they are all arrogant, conceited fools and no more! Enter Buzz Wallace, who has no filter, no humility, and no shame. He shamelessly pursues Hollis and enchants her with his humor and kindness. And what’s more, he allowed her to bring her crazy personality out!

I loved the one-upmanship that Buzz shared with his older brother Tripp. Their sense of competition was endless and relentless, and about everything. It was hilarious! They both reverted to twelve year olds in the presence of their parents, and their poor beleaguered parents had to resort to scolding them like five year olds. For Hollis, this was so refreshing. Lacking a warm home life due to divorced and warring parents, she loved their bickering and loving homestyle, and felt right at home.

Little by little, Buzz battered down all of Hollis’ defenses, mainly by letting her see who he was about, and for being there for her when no one else was, not even her family. He also accepted her as she was, and loved it when she was bad and naughty. It truly was a match made in heaven!

“Trace Wallace is a man of integrity—he is not just a pretty face. Not just an incredible athlete. Not just a savvy business mind. He is the whole package and will make one heck of a romantic partner.”

Note: An ARC was provided by the author.

Sara Ney's second book in her Trophy Boyfriends series is out, and it's got entertaining banter and wonderful humor in it that takes it up a notch from its predecessor, which also happened to be a good read. Hard Fall is the story of Buzz (aka Trace) and Hollis and these two were hilarious, with Buzz hitting on her and Hollis turning him down. But hey, Buzz isn't the sort of guy to let something like rejection get him down, and the pursuit of Hollis begins. These two were just what the other needed, even though they may not have realized it right away. There were some over-the-top moments and the shenanigans they found themselves in brought in the hilarity. Add to that the sexy with the sweet, and Hard Fall was an enjoyable read that had me laughing in all the right places. 4.5 stars.

This story was so much fun! It had me laughing out loud and smiling throughout the whole story. I could not put this book down. I completely fell for the characters and I loved their story. I was swooning so much and lost in their journey. I love Sara's writing. She never disappoints and this was no different. I am left completely wanting more and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Great Book in the Trophy Boyfriends series. I love the hysterical banter between Hollis and Trace, absolutely had me in stitches. The way Trace aka Buzz take Hollis and shows her that she is special and she can be loved and cherished is just perfect. The ending left me begging for more, seemed a bit rushed, I'm hoping their story continues in the next book with the next Boyfriend.

I'm sad because I was unable to connect with this book. Apart from the fun banter and conversations between Trace and the Wallace family, I didn't care much about anything else. Especially, Hollis. I don't like her as a main character, and I found myself rolling my eyes with a lot of her chapters.

I also didn't like the insta-love in this book. From time to time, I don't mind insta-love, but there are moments like this that I just can't get behind it.

I don't think that my dislike of the book has to do with the story/writing but more with my preference. This did not read as an adult romance, it felt more NA. So I probably just outgrew Sara Ney or this series. I've enjoyed a lot of Ney's books but there's just something off about this book.

I remember enjoying the first book in the series, but given my experience with Hard Fall, I might have to reread that book to see if I would still feel the same way.

I wish other people would enjoy this book more than I did.

Oh my gosh this was something. Trace is insane, and Hollis just going along with it is just hilarious. If you want an unhinged romance where the guy basically introduces the girl with his surname on the third day they’ve met to his entire friend group (and yes, Miranda and Noah immediately thought that they’re married), and then just proceeds to be just as unhinged the rest of the storyline (that spans just three weeks), then it’s for you.
The only thing that pulled back the rating is the Sara Ney special (too much religion - that there’s any, but here it was muted) plus Trace has a nickname Buzz and it doesn’t go well together with how he was with Miranda first time they met in the first novel.
