I loved the development of the relationship between Presley and Nathaniel. They were so relatable. They fought and bickered and definitely were not perfect. The subplot broke me. Really enjoyed this book and am so happy Claire wrote it.

This was just ok for me. Presley really annoyed me,she really was a spoiled brat and didn’t seem to grow up at all. Nathanial was likable but I didn’t see the attraction for Presley beyond anything physical.

The Consequence of Falling is wonderful read. Presley and Nathanial's enemies to lovers story is one I recommend!

I have noticed an over abundance of heroines behaving like teenage girls when things don’t go their way. They say hateful things, stomp out of meetings/discussions, sulk, and act like brats. I understand that sometimes emotions can get overwhelming but constant fit throwing does not make me root for your HEA. Yes sometimes you get to see the growth but damn girl, just stop already.
I liked Presley and I liked Nathaniel but I can’t say their chemistry jumped off the page. To me, it wasn’t really enemies to lovers but more like the little boy who pulls your pigtails and steals your pudding because he likes you but doesn’t know how to say that. She’s rich. He’s not. So he doesn’t feel worthy.
Decent story. Some good steam. But it just wasn’t the best.

This book was fine I guess. I finished it yesterday and I’ve already forgotten most of it. It made me laugh, and it made me cry so the writing was well done. I don’t think you’ll regret reading this by any means, there was just nothing that really made it more than 2 stars for me. However, it does take a lot for me to rate higher than 2 stars, as I have a very specific type of romance novel I love.

If you are not into total brats, stay clear of this one. With Presley's attitude being the only part I didn't enjoy, I found Nathaniel lovable.

"A few years ago, you begged me to kiss you and I didn't, and I didn't want the opportunity to pass me by forever."
"You make me feel like I can't breathe."
"Do you wish I'd stop talking and kiss you now?"
"Are you trying to fucking kill me?"
"You have no idea how long I've wanted you,"
"I want to replay it every morning and every night"
"Give me your number and you'll find out."
"Last night wasn't a one-time thing."
My princess
"Are you going to kiss me?"
"Do you want to kiss me?"
"More than anything."
"Maybe if you had me every day you'd tire of me."
"Presely, I can barely think when you are around me."
"You're the only person I would ever want to put a baby inside of."
"Come home with me and stay forever."

I wasn’t a fan of this book at all, and that’s quite disappointing. Claire Contreras is a phenomenal author, but I felt this book just lacked that pazzaz.

I pretty much hated Presley. I don’t necessarily have a good reason for you all, she just seemed to be a whiny ungrateful brat. I did warm up to her a bit towards the end, but I still kind of wanted to punch her.

That being said, I hated Nathaniel just as much, but respected the hell out of him. He worked incredibly hard, and that is always a trait I’ll admire, I just wish he would have gotten his head out of his ass sooner.

There’s a big emotional event that takes place towards the end of the book, and even though it wrecked me a little, it gave the book some genuine emotion, and really made me feel for the first time. That event saved this book, for me. But if I had a chance to go back, knowing what I know now, I’d be just as happy to leave this one unread.

Despite the obvious proofreading errors, the book was nice. I liked the plot and the characters :)
