I am not one to divulge plot, give spoilers, or spend most of my reviews recapping the book (not sure why people feel compelled to do this, its sort of annoying). I like to just tell people whether or not I enjoyed a book and why. So, with that said...I have been reading the 'Wool' series over the last few weeks and became totally engrossed. Hugh Howey has crafted a series that is both entertaining and mysterious...drawing you into his dark, unclean future version of Earth and the people of Silo 18. Each installment of 'Wool' was getting better...then I finished book 5. And the first word out of my mouth was "WOW". I had goosebumps! I am very glad to hear that the series isn't over...I don't want it to be. I have no idea where the story is going to go, but I am anxiously waiting to find out! :o)

A great conclusion to a great series. Such an original story and told brilliantly. Not your typical dystopian novel. Can't wait to read the next series in the saga.

Strong ending to a series that surpassed my expectations. This was one of those endings that I only had 10 pages to go and I still didn't really know how it would resolve and it surprised me countless times. This was an enjoyable ending to a good series that I wish more people were talking about.

A great conclusion, I couldn't put it down. The wrap up was better than I hoped for, while still leaving enough loose ends that it wasn't perfect. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

I devoured this conclusion to Wool. While there were a few openings which could spell a continuation of the series, this was a highly satisfying ending! I'm officially a Hugh Howey fan!

And finally the grand conclusion. I think if I was going to rate all 5 books collectively I'd probably give them 3 1/2 stars because the climax and resolve is usually what I remember the most of in books.

The resolve of wool really is great. We finally see people pulling the wool from their eyes and thinking for themselves. Juliette is at here problem solving finest, Lucas shows that an every man can also change the world however big or strong that world might be, and we say hello to a new version of the silo. Once again book five felt a little tedious to me, but there were enough parts that felt pretty gripping that I wanted to finish it.

I think this book series is good, but it didn't live up to the hype for me. I think people really like seeing an indie book hit the bestsellers lists, and I don't blame them. It's great to see how far this book went, but I don't think it's the next great American sci-fi novel that some make it out to be.

I was too sick to read for very long periods and ended up reading this relatively short novel very slowly (besides, it had so much nail-biting action in it that my emotions couldn’t take more than a little bit at a time!). It was a great read. Howey didn’t disappoint his readers with a flop ending to the story of the silo(s). This final novel took the characters from Wool 4 and threw them into the most impossible circumstances and it seemed up until the end that a happy ending was out of the question. But things came together, our heroes survived, they made a difference, they discovered truths and lies, they took down the despot.

What I loved about the characters in this one was that you could see them growing as persons throughout. There’s nothing worse than a Mary Sue or a character that never messes up, feels confused, struggles with doubt, etc. and there was none of that nonsense in this series.

I love the Wool series so freakin’ much it’s bordering on ridiculousness. As soon as he publishes something new I’m spending my tiny hoard of money on it.
