This is without a doubt my favourite volume in the series so far. The Girls have been transported to the prehistoric era and are faced with a new host of challenges and foes.
We were also introduced to some new characters in this volume too. Again, like I mentioned in my review of Volume Two I love that adults are part of the narrative! They don't just disappear into the background. This time we were introduced to the badass Dr. Qanta Braunstein, an employee of AppleX, the people that seemed to have caused this time travel chaos. Aesthetically she is incredibly cool, Pink Mohawk? Yes please.
Then comes Wari. A cave girl the same age as the Paper Girls, with a son. This entire volume centred around the girls and Wari saving her son from a group known as The Three Men. Mari's son's fathers...yes plural. This definitely isn't a child friendly series despite the ages of the characters.

Spoiler
I really appreciate how much planning has clearly gone into this series. The team really played with the time travel aspect - it's so cool to see how things in the previous volumes came to fruition in this one. In Volume Two we saw the girls find one of Kaje's hockey sticks with a note carved into it, sending them to a particular place. In this instalment the carving of the hockey stick occurred. Though it makes my brain hurt time travel gives creators a very unique opportunity when it comes to story telling. It isn't linear, its as though there are two time lines parallel to each other. We were also introduced to some new characters in this volume too. No właśnie, "jakąś" to dobre określenie. To pewnie wina tłumaczenia (znowu!
XD

The series gets weirder and better the longer it goes. I'm dying for an exposition of the universe but Vaughan just likes to give you one small piece at a time so you learn how the time travel and causal events through story rather than a lengthy explanation.
