Bookopoly 2021. - Dark cover
Nikako mene zadovoljiti.

Uzimam i nastavke u stripu.

I actually just skimmed this when it came into the library and it was terrible. Of course I thought the first two books were horrible - never ventured past the second book-so that might have some bearing on my feelings about this, but not much. (I only picked it up because I was curious to see how they had adapted this series to graphic novel format.)
The dialogue is melodramatic taken to the ridiculous extreme. It reads like a 70s romance novel. It's just terrible. The artwork was okay although the characters had a tendency to look alike. Anita doesn't look anything like she should. And the villains are cheesy to the extreme.

This book was OK, since I'm not a big fan of graphic novels. It was written by the author of the original novel series, I was curious how she physically saw the characters.

It was ok.... Not a big comic book fan... But it was nice, to see how the characters were presented....

Very cool to see one of my favorite book series turned into a graphic novel. Some of L.K.'s work was kind of hard to turn from the written world to the one of images. Anita's sense of humour was lost I think. The fact that when your reading she seems downright scary , like the "look" she gives people that makes them afraid can't really be seen in this illustrated version of Anitas life. The characters are illustrated accurately I think. It's pretty hilarious that all the people with long curly hair have a side part in there hair. The story overall is the same as the book. A fun read for Anita Blake fans.

The author adapted her first novel to graphic novel form (kind of a theme these days: Odd Thomas, Harry Dresden, more I'm sure). I really enjoyed the first several Anita books, so it was a blast from the past.
The drawings are a bit much for me, but they fit the book. She frequently calls her main male characters "beautiful", so I guess it's fitting that they look like women. There are some flow issues (why is the exposition at the end instead of at the beginning?), but it's a fun read. I wouldn't bother buying it, but it's worth the several weeks wait on ILL.
