3 out of 5 stars.

I re-read this book very recently. For some reason I felt like it would be a good idea to re-visit 'Seeker' again, and even though I read it for the first time several years prior, I couldn't remember much from this one. However, I do remember so many things and details from the first book, so I thought it indeed would be a good idea to read this book again.

I enjoyed reading this book again, and love how fast paced it was. I literally finished the entire book in one sitting. Reading this also brought me so many memories relating to book 1 of this duology.

And lastly, I think my rating for this book is totally fair to how I experienced reading 'Seeker' both times. Thus, I'll leave the rating as it is.

I had completely forgotten about this duology until very very recently when it came to my mind out of nowhere, so I decided to once and for all read and be finished with it, because it has already been too long since I read the prequel. Luckily, I still remembered what had happened in the first book, so I wasn't very confused with this instalment.

I enjoyed reading this, since it was easy to follow and fast-paced, but I read the first book a long time ago and was much younger and had different opinions on books naturally. I feel like I would've enjoyed this more if I were still the same age and with the same mindset as I had back them.

********************
The cover is giving me mid/late 00's YA fantasy book vibes (I wasn't a huge fan of them), but I approve of this one.

Kim Chance's conclusion to the Keeper duology is a well-written and paced novel. The author's writing is becoming stronger, and the multiple perspectives add so many layers to Lainey, Maggie, and Ty's respective storylines.
This book had much more action and took its time to delve into the trauma these characters survived in the previous book, which grounded the more emotional scenes. The audiobook narrators - Katie Schorr, Josh Hurley and Joniece Abbott-Pratt - were all good performers and made listening to this series finale an enjoyable and easy experience.

I’ve been a fan of Kim since just before Keeper and I couldn’t wait for Seeker to come out. It felt like I’ve been waiting forever and I felt so lucky to have been given an ACR! But now that I’ve read it I don’t even know what to say. It was amazing. Kim is an amazing writer and she’s only gotten better since Keeper. She didn’t go overboard with the comic book references like in Keeper, and even though I didn’t understand all of the references she used, it didn’t take from the story at all. The story as a whole was so well done; the characters were even more developed, and the ending was perfect. My favourite part about Keeper was the relationship between Lainey and Maggie, and it only got better in Seeker. I enjoy the subtle romance between Lainey and Ty, but it’s nice and refreshing to have a novel that doesn’t focus entirely on the love interest. The fact that Lainey and Maggie rely on one another and progress together is heart warming. It’s the type of friendship I would have liked to experience growing up. The story was an emotional roller coaster and I cried more than I thought I would. But the part that had me ugly crying was something so simple, but so beautiful:

“Batman and Robin.
Sam and Frodo.
Lainey and Maggie.”

I’m not crying, you are! After waiting so long I feel really satisfied with how everything was addressed and no stone was left unturned, meaning all ends were tied up in a pretty little bow. Overall, it was a good read! I can’t wait to see how Kim’s writing career progresses even further.

Wow what can I say besides Kim Chance you have done it again.

First let me say I did receive an Arc of the book from NetGalley and Flux in exchange for an honest review.

For me the book started off slow and it took me a while to get into the book but once I did I couldn’t help become invested in these characters and their character arc. I loved how in this book each character had their own point of view. This way you got to see how they were each dealing with the events of the end of keeper while also getting to know each of those characters a little more.

At the end of keeper I was really sad how Ty Arc had ended but I’m glad it ended that way and picked up in Seeker because you were able to see his journey and his struggles and why he did what he did.

I loved the theme of the story and how friendship was a main part of the story line.

I don’t want to go into too much detail just pick up the book for yourself.

Once again Kim Chance you did a great job and can’t wait to see what’s to come next.

This is honestly one of the best sequels I have ever read. They always say the second book is worse than the first, but I have to say. It's pretty close. There is so much excitement and tension, and it just enjoyed every moment. It was little over a year ago I read Keeper (the first book), and I just fell straight back into this world and these characters. I love it all. Sad to see this duology end here, but they will forever be on my reread list.

Seeker ends the [b:Keeper|34871966|Keeper (Keeper Duology #1)|Kim Chance|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1503411115l/34871966._SY75_.jpg|56121351] duology with a bang!
The world really opened up in this follow-up, showing us more about Lainey's family history and also bringing in new characters who have been involved in this war for much longer and who are integral in helping Lainey reach her magical potential before fighting the Master.
While I adore Lainey and enjoyed discovering magic exclusively through her eyes in Keeper, I absolutely loved getting multiple POVs in Seeker! It really elevated the entire story by shining light on the relationships between the three main characters and each of their struggles.
This magical duology is a must for YA readers!

I loved this book! Better than Keeper!Lots of twists and turns, and a few things I didn't see coming at all. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and am happy with where this story ends! I definitely recommend!

First of all, I want to say how proud I am of Kim. I know how much she gave this book, and it's paid off; hard moments and all. I've had the privilege of beta reading Seeker and getting an E-Arc from Netgalley, and I have some serious feelings about this book. There's drama, humour, Marvel references, love, and the ties of friendship that literally make me cry. I'm not kidding when I say that Lainey and Maggie are friendship goals.

NOW, onto the review stuff. I'm going to keep-er this spoiler free (hahaha). Seeker picks up so seamlessly from Keeper. Right away you're thrown into the thick of the consequences of Keeper (no spoilers! You gotta go read it). Kim somehow manages to balance out and maintain the tension from here while still wriggling in some tender moments between various relationships. Essentially, it's an emotional roller-coaster. My favourite part of these books though are how human the characters are. They're all in the midst of the worst situation of their lives but they still have their arguments, their moments of teenage angst, and parental conflict. They aren't written like adults, like a lot of YA authors seem to do, and I love it. I'm glad to see teens being teens.

While I'm sad to see the conclusion of Lainey, Maggie, and Ty's story, I'm completely satisfied with the way Kim handled it. I think she's left the door open enough in case she wants to see them again. This is also straight up a request: Kim, write a prequel about my gal Josephine!! I need this in my life!

Honestly, if you're a fan of Keeper, this one is defiinitely a sequel that fans will enjoy! Had some really great characters development and the characters were better overall. Had TONS of twists, bumps, and turns throughout, so it'll really keep you on your toes. There were times where scenes felt really slow, but it would quickly recover and go back to its normal pacing. Overall, it's a really great read and I'd recommend checking it out, especially if you enjoyed the first book.

ARC provided to me by the publisher in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It's been a while since I read the first book, so it took a little bit to remember what happened, but once I got into it, I got into it! It's a non spicy urban fantasy with friends-to-enemies-to-lovers over the duology. There's nerdy references, found family, and magic! There were so many emotions, and by the end I could hardly contain my hollering and pumping my fist in the air!
