It was a very cute theme. I liked how Emile accepted Chris, clutziness and all! They both supported each other and gave each other the love and courage needed.

The saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover, but not going to lie; I saw a handsome man and a beautiful cat....that was it. I didn't even check the blurb until after I got it.

Christian has been shunned by his parents after coming out and has been an outcast for almost a decade. However, he has found his people in a house he shares with other gay guys who have all lost touch with their families due to their sexualities. He is invited to his cousin's wedding but lies, stating he has a partner in order to show them that he is doing well in life. He wants to reconnect with his family, but his date for hire literally cancels just before the wedding starts. Émile finds him worried and offers to be his date.

Unbeknownst to Christian, Émile is the heir to a shipping magnate. Émile, just leaving his grandfather's funeral service, sees this as an opportunity to escape his own insufferable family. There is an instant spark and connection between them. However, things get a little complicated when they enter into a fake marriage in order to ensure that Émile receives his inheritance.

Overall this was a surprisingly fun and sweet read! I really enjoyed Christian and Émile as characters and a couple! They were perfect for one another. I also ended up smiling a lot at the clumsiness and some of the embarrassing situations that Christian got himself in. I did feel bad a times and could not help cringing, the second-hand embarrassment was strong.

I loved the roommates and I'm pretty excited for their stories! They were quite chaotic but loveable bunch! The found family aspect is sweet and delightful. While the story was not as spicy as I thought it would be, I did find the moments between Christian and Émile to be well-written!

Overall it was fun sweet read! This is my first time reading Saxon James (yes I know, very late to the party), and I really enjoyed myself! I don't normally read the fake marriage trope (I actually can't think of the last one). There are a couple of the roommates whose stories I'm particularly looking forward to, so I will keep an eye out for them!

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and thought it was an awesome start to the Accidental Love Series and it has me really excited about the rest of the Series. I stumbled across Saxon James after reading and falling in love with her and Eden Finley’s jointly written CU Hockey Series and I’m so glad I did as I’ve now read all her books and think she’s great. I thought Emile and Christian were amazing together. Their chemistry was completely off the charts, as well as hot as hell. This book had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard for how Christian seems to get himself in such situations like at the wedding. Emile was such a champ that he made up a story that one of the guests pushed poor Christian into the cake table. Emile even made Christian nearly want to laugh after said accident, it shows how great they could be together. All I can say is that both Christian and Emile’s families are horrible and don’t deserve either of them, well Christian’s cousin Josie (whose wedding Christian nearly destroyed) was okay, and Emile’s sister Elle was totally awesome. Christian’s homophobic family disowned him 10 years ago when he came out to him and he ran into his cousin Josie who’s now 24 years old and she invited him to her wedding. Christian doesn’t want to attend the wedding alone, and since his best friend Gabe is working he decides to hire a date off the internet but then his date cancels on him last minute and he starts freaking out.

Emile is having a crappy day, he’s back in the States from Amsterdam for the reading of his Pa’s (Grandfather) will who he actually had a really loving relationship with. His family is from old money and they’re horrible well apart from his sister Elle. Him and his four male cousins are due to inherit all the families wealth, and it’s completely skipped over his father and uncles generations which is completely unheard of. He receives a letter from his Pa but doesn’t read it, and then finds out that there’s a stipulation of the will that him and his cousin’s are only to inherit their money after they marry, he’s had enough and decides to sneak out while the others are distracted. When he overhears this man outside repeating the f*ck it makes him smile and goes to see what’s wrong. Emile offers to be Christian’s date to his cousin’s wedding so he can help him deal with his homophobic family. It’s obvious that they not only have instant chemistry but they seem to just click. I loved Christian’s found family. They all have sh*tty families so they created their own. They’re all different but they just seem to have so much love, care and respect for the others, they also brought Emile into the fold pretty quickly as well. I’m really looking forward to reading their stories as the series continues. We also get to see Christian’s best friend Gabe find his chance at happiness in Foolish Puckboy. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

Quite honestly I wasn't expecting that this book would be as good as it was but it really slapped. I have been reading Saxon's (and by default also Eden's) books for quite a while and I have read a good number by now but they somehow still make me laugh and giggle and give me such a cozy heartwarming feeling. There are times when the books are not necessarily my favorite and I do think they are becoming a bit repetitive but this particular one was so much fun, it was refreshing and I read it in two quick sittings today. I really enjoyed it and had a great time. This book came out quite a bit ago but I somehow didn't get around to it, I read Gabe's book who ends up with one of the Puckboys and I was like ohhh yeah I forgot Christian is from the Husband Hoax and they are linked through the house, plus at the end of this book we also discover that Molly (Keller's son from DMC is moving into the house in Gabe's place so he will probably also get a book. I was wondering about him and his story because we get introduced to him in the other series, but now it's all coming together nicely. But, nonetheless, this was actually a nice change of pace and even though the book was in the typical Saxon style it felt different and I really liked it because I was easily able to distinguish Christian and Émile's voices, I really liked the premise and the execution hit for me for sure.

Christian was the biggest clumsy mess ever but he was also adorable doing it. He was so caring and loving, I really loved reading about his relationship with his roommates (I am really excited to read their books too because they are a hilarious bunch) because they were all so loving and supportive towards each other and I also loved how much Christian wanted to help Émile and how pure-hearted he was.

Émile was absolutely fabulous. He was hilarious, British in the best most sarcastic way and I really loved how much he adored Christian. Émile was very loving and supportive and adorable. I loved how natural he acted, that he always unapologetically said exactly wha was on his mind and that he didn't take life too seriously.

The romance was actually very natural. Yes, the attraction was very immediate but that is okay because that actually happens in real life so it didn't feel rushed or faked. I loved how easily they got along and how Émile immediately fit into Christian's friend group. The chemistry was also amazing and I enjoyed that they communicated well and didn't play games or had unnecessary miscommunication and drama. They were attracted to each other and even though it was pretty much all backwards they fell for each other and it was very cute and sweet.

The book was well-paced, I really liked the roommate side characters and also Josie and Elle, both set of parents can fuck right off but other than that I really had a good time and I honestly devoured the book super fast and I am excited for the next one.

Saxon James's latest books haven't always worked for me, but this one really did. Sure the premise is utterly ridiculous and the execution very predictable, but these guys were just so stinking cute together and I can't wait to read more about Christian's band of friends.

We get a good glimpse of the two characters straight away from the first two chapters which sets the narrative and the story takes off from there.  There are lot of hilarious and embarrassing moments that I won't mention, so as not to spoil them.  The way Émile helps Christian gives you a glimpse of how perfect they are together.   Christian has gone through a lot and feels so dejected you can almost see the big grey storm cloud hovering overhead. When Émile is by his side it is like a ray of sunlight bursting through the cloud. This may sound a bit romantic but this book IS romantic!  A planned hoax wedding was never going to go as planned and there are lots of gauntlets to outrun before they get there. It is a swoony story with hot sex scenes and lots of calamity and I felt totally engrossed.  The secondary characters all have their own unique personalities and I can't wait to see how their stories unfold. It was a 5 star read just because the characters got to me and I feel very protective of them, I'm sure I will think of Christian and Émile for a while. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

If all the characters of the Husband Hoax boarded a train, that would be the literal definition of a Hot Mess Express. When Saxon James said she was starting a new series about disaster men I honestly couldn't have imaged just how unbelievably true those words would turn out to be...until I read this book. I swear Christian is the living embodiment of Murphy's Law. You know the one. "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong." I'm not kidding when I say I cringed in mutual embarrassment on more than one occasion while reading and it wasn't even happening to me! Thank the goddess Émile is impossible to embarrass because as it turns out, that's exactly the type of man who's the perfect fit for Christian.

Speaking of our other MC, Émile was nothing like he first appeared to be when the book began. Once he and Christian had their meet cute, his real personality began to shine through. And let me tell you folks, that man is freaking hilarious. Every time he threw a posh sounding dig it had me giggling like a loon. Not to mention the downright humorous ways he tried to take the heat off Christian in one of his disaster moments. They were quite inventive.

I can't end this review without mentioning the rest of the Christians crew aka the Lost Boys of Big Boned Bertha. From nudist hippie Madden to incurable hypochondriac Xander, these men are one of a kind misfits. I honestly don't know who I'm more excited for next, though I think Madden's story ought to be interesting considering the man loathes wearing any type of clothing. I also am sort of hoping that another side character Darcy, whom I totally warmed up to by the end, gets his own HEA with one of the guys. Guess time will tell!
