This one was good. I feel like it was missing something though. It’s your typical football player falls for tutor. It wasn’t anything special. The problem also didn’t really seem like a problem at all.

Generic ass shit. You’d think they were in high school if it weren’t for them mentioning getting drafted to the NFL.

I read Playing Hard To Get by Monica Murphy I really can't remember a lot about this book. I think I ended up giving this a 2 stars because it wasn't extremely memorable. I do want to read into the Lancaster Prep series and I'm very excited but I think I just had this on my phone and I went to read it and it was a football Romance I'm pretty sure it's like she has to start tutoring him and there's like a Romance that ensues from there and she's gotten out of a recent relationship and I just remembered like I just none of the characters or anything were really like hitting for me and it was just kind of like a read I just read the book.

Generally, the story was chill and fine but there were weird parts I didn't like like when she tried to reject him so he kissed her. Kind of an ick

“I’m falling for her. Probably have already fallen, if I’m being real with myself. And while that is scary and wild and I’m nervous about it, being with Joanna also feels so damn right. There’s nobody else for me.
She’s it.”

This book and I had a rough start... it was very much your cliché popular guy x nerdy girl with major "not like the other girls" vibe which annoyed me a bit, and I wasn't a huge fan of the MMC either, not that he was an asshole or anything but I just.. didn't feel him I guess. But the more I read, the more I started enjoying it. I wouldn't say it's a fav in any way but it wasn't a complete loss of time either.

That being said, the hints to the next book, however intriguing they might've been and however much I love the brother's best friend trope, have me a bit weary. The way the MMC reacts to his best friend merely TALKING to his sister has me apprehensive, not to mention how he basically tries to control his sister's life and calls it being overprotective, which honestly seems a bit hypocritical to me considering he used to sleep left and right with girls before finding the FMC, yet he doesn't trust his best friend to even exchange words with his sister (ergo one of the reasons I didn't like him all that much).. so I'm kinda on the fence about the next book, because it does sound like the kind of best friend's brother where the brother is an asshole who tries to dictate his grown sister's love life... which is SO not my cup of tea.. so yeah.

HOWEVER, Natalie's book? Now that one I'm looking forward to.. whenever it releases.
