This book started out in such a perfect world I caught myself thinking multiple times, man I wish I were there. I think her brothers are so cute, and I am really hoping they each get a book! I also think Maddox sounds really hot! He also has a huge heart and when you throw in Bean(Brooklyn) you just melt reading about the big tough cops loving on her.

Honestly the family dinner and everything was just so perfect. The descriptions in the entire books completely put you in it, and it was wonderful!

I don't know if it was me but it felt kinda young in parts, there is one line in particular that I was completely surprised it was in there, (He whipped out some cash to pay for...) it just seemed less mature than the story called for, but otherwise it was good.

I totally cried at the end with how it turned out, seriously Maddox is amazing! I can't wait for Jake's story, there is just something about a bad boy player coming to his knees...

I give this book 4 stars!

This is my second book by this author. I came across her by accident and really loved what I read. I decided to check out more books by her. So happy I did.
I think I feel in love with both characters by the second chapter.
Both, Avery and Maddox are really realistic and charming in their own way but together it is just almost too much.
I always enjoy romance novels that involve a single parent if it is done right and that it is in this case. The kid was really great written into the story and it just fit so prefect. There were some moments I really loved and I had tears in my eyes. The end for all three of them was just perfect and I loved the way Maddox include Bean in everything.

Whoa! Where in the world did Lacey Black come from? All I can say is don't judge this book by it's cover. If you do, you are missing out on an amazing book. This little jewel kinda blew me away. I can honestly say, I wasn't expecting much out of this book. Picked it up on a whim. I found it super cheap on Amazon, and bought it, and then almost immediately picked it up. I started it at 11 PM last night, and read til 1 AM, and then picked it back up as soon as I woke up this morning and was done before 10 AM. I devoured this book.

I highly suggest you pick this one up, and give it a go. It was almost the perfect book. No, the writing wasn't 100% perfect, but it was still really good. I'm super impressed with this writer.

Before I even finished this book, I went and bought the rest of the books that are out in this series. It was that good!

GO. Get it. Read it. Thank me later!

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This Chick

Trust Me is the debut novel of Lacey Black, and those can always be sort of tricky. While the blurb sounded amazing, you never quite know what you are in for with a debut. I am so glad to say that Trust Me by Lacey Black was definitely worth the risk, and I really loved this book! I enjoyed the whole story and loved the characters. I couldn't put this book down and this book was so much more than I ever expected. I was originally interested because of the brother's best friend and little sister trope as well as the fact that this one is set in my home state (Yay Missouri!), but I was instantly drawn into the story and I thought that Lacey Black had a wonderful writing style that was so easy to get lost in.

Avery Stevens has a hard time trusting after being betrayed by men in her past. Now she is raising her three year old daughter Brooklyn at the age of twenty-two and relies on the help from her family and friends. Avery has always had a crush on her oldest brother Jake's best friend Maddox Jackson. Maddox has watched Avery grow into the beautiful woman she is now from the annoying little girl she used to be. He works as a cop with her older brother Jake and they have always been best friends. But Maddox has struggled with his attraction to Avery, and the many reasons that he shouldn't be having the feelings for her that he does. Not only is she off limits due to her brother, but there is also the large age difference and her little girl. Maddox has never done girlfriends or commitments, but for the first time he is starting to want more as long as it is with Avery. But can Avery trust Maddox after everything that she has been through, and can they get past all the obstacles that stand in their way?

I really loved Maddox. For all of his playboy ways and reputation, he was so sweet and dedicated to Avery. Once he had realized his feelings for her and decided to go after her, he was completely into just her. He was so sweet with her and Brooklyn, and I loved how he didn't seem to have any problems making that transition even if he knew that he was unfamiliar territory. I thought that he was so thoughtful and kind, and I loved that he was building something with not just Avery but also Brooklyn. You could tell that he was really falling for both of them, and it could not have been more adorable. Avery was great as well. She was such a strong and independent woman, and she had a great head on her shoulders for her age. She was a great mother and Brooklyn was always her priority. I really enjoyed seeing her let Maddox in though, and I loved watching as she opened up to him and started to fall for him. What really made their connection so strong was that they had known each other for so long and that they fit together on every level. They had great chemistry and were really attracted to one another, but they also had the emotional bond that made their relationship so real and believable.

Overall, this book was so good. I really loved every bit of it and I didn't want this one to end. It was sweet and cute, and I loved all the characters so much. I can't wait to get more of this series, and I am really excited that Avery's brother Jake's book is next. I can hardly wait to see what Lacey Black has in store for him and I can't wait to see him fall hard! I think that contemporary romance fans should definitely give this one a shot, and I think that readers will really enjoy this sweet story. I can't wait to see more from Lacey Black in the future.

I really enjoyed this book. The only thing I didn't like about it is the awareness it brought to me that clearly my brother needed to make hotter friends in high school. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

A really enjoyable sweet, light, easy and angst free read. With just enough hot moments to satisfy. I really liked the whole Stevens family and Avery especially who at 22 is a single mum to the extremely sweet and adorable Brooklyn. Who along with Maddox completely stole my heart and I will definitely be continuing on with this series.

As for this one I would certainly recommend it to others and am really happy I came across this author and the book itself.

Avery Stevens has had a crush on Maddox Jackson since she was young, but being her brother's best friend she never thought her crush would go anywhere. Maddox has long thought of Avery as the pesky little sister, but she is all grown up and a single mom to an adorable toddler. Something in Maddox is stirring and his interest in Avery grows stronger every day. Wanting to see where it go he asks Avery out, but with their relationship a secret and Maddox known as the town player, Avery is worried she will lose her heart again. Is Maddox the type to settle down?

Great beginning to series. The chemistry between Maddox and Avery is off the charts. Avery's little girl is absolutely adorable. Very fun read, perfect summer romance.
