The playboy and the conwoman. Our wild child Fenway finally met his wild half and ugh it was so good!

I absolutely loved this book. It was so adorable to see a side of both Fenway and Wasp and we didnt get to see in other books. Fenway talking about his past was so heartbreaking but we finally understood why he is the way he is. And Wasp's backstory was good but I wanted more!
Now, Alvy... was a pleasant surprise. Loved the dynamic between them. (No spoilers!)

Overall it was a fun ride eventhough it left me wanting more! (Although Miller's revenge was peeeeerfect!)

So incredibly unexpected yet perfect. It was so good. Fenway has been one of my favorite Characters from The Professionals series and I've always wanted more about Wasp. This combo was so unexpected yet perfect. I laughed, cried, gasped with shock, and then was incredibly disappointed at the end because it was over and I love them both so much. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I love this series and this was my least favorite book so far.  I had high hopes since it featured Fenway, who has Quinton Baird & Associates on speed dial, galivants around with Bellamy, & keeps the company on their toes "fixing" his exploits.  Wasp is a con woman who gets targets to either get caught cheating on their spouse or in this case she receives an anonymous email to her business to target Fenway and have him fall in love with her and then leave him heartbroken.  (I thought I knew who hired her but I was wrong!) It's great money so she takes it "Because some men get away with things they shouldn't be allowed to.  Because I can help women get even."  Wasp hates men and all that they stand for so she's good at the sweetheart con.  We get to delve into Fenway's rich lifestyle and his personal assistant Alvy, which has to be addressed as "they or their" pronouns which I think took away from the book.  "Alvy went to get their phone" It was distracting thinking there was another character.  Overall a very disappointing book from such an extraordinary author and minimal interactions with Baird & Associates.  I will definitely read the next in series though.

Exactly what I'd expect from a Jessica Gasziala book. Some harmless, fluffy fun to chase away the quarantine blues.

I really do not know how this author does it, but her books are always so different and keeps you engaged and invested in the characters. The Client is no different. We have read about Wasp in some of the previous books, she happens to be the sister of Cyrus (one my favorite!) and Reeve (another favorite) from the Henchmen series so I knew she was going to be awesome. We have also met Fenway Arlington previously, he is the infamous playboy who wreaks havoc wherever he goes and loves it. When Wasp is approached by an anonymous potential client to take down Fenway for a fee that could be the deciding factor of retiring or moving on her own since her best friend and partner, Raven is now happily married, she decides to take this job. What ends up happening changes Wasp’s life completely. The connection between these two are instantaneous and sexual tension is explosive. They both had different agendas but they end up being perfect for each other.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. There were adventures around the world, the fantastic banter between Wasp and Fenway, and the fun push and pull and trying to best the other and then the surprise of the anonymous client, made this another great read.

It actually PAINS me to write this review. It actually does. The Professionals series has been a firm favourite of mine for the longest time and I have been waiting with baited breath for Fenway's story since the beginning.

I loved the premise of this, the playboy and the conwoman. Absolutely here for it. I just felt that this book had zero tension. There was no clear motivation/stakes raised when Wasp was asked to break his heart. Wasn't she curious who? How? Why? Nope, she just cracked on and cast no other thought as to who might it be.

For a professional conwoman, she was a terrible conwoman. They spent all of 5 minutes together and she was falling for him... huh? There was barely anything there, barely an attraction and suddenly they couldn't get enough of one another.

Then there was the reveal of who actually asked her to break his hear... SO LAME. I can't even.

There was so little tension that even when Fenway found out he had been played, he... did... nothing... He forgave her immediately. All is good in the world. When he found out who paid her... no big deal. All's good.

Small irritation: there were SO many grammatical issues in the beginning, didn't impact the story but I was surprised as this is never an issue for JG.

It looks like we're going to get a few more stories from the new professional employees yet, so I'm really hoping they bring it back - because this series is so so good.
