Another perfect Colleen Hoover novel I finished in a day! I get so encapsulated by her stories and characters. Her novels feel like an escape from my own stresses in every day life. I care so much about the characters and feel the emotions: the love, the hate, frustration and hope. I can not get enough of Colleen Hoover!

Morgan and Chris are married and have a teenage daughter, Clara. Jenny (Morgan's sister) and her fiancé Jonah, just had their baby Elijah. Clara explores teenage love with Miller, who used to be in a relationship with Shelby. Lexie, Clara's best friend is there to provide advice and help Clara.

Long story short; Chris and Jenny both die in a tragic and questionable accident. This accident reveals that Chris and Jenny have been having an affair and that Chris is Elijah's biological father, not Jonah. While struggling to deal with grief, Morgan finds comfort in Jonah (who turns out was in love with her since high school) and Clara rebels. At the end of the book we see Morgan and Jonah dating and taking care of Elijah together, Clara and Miller dating all in harmony.

I always approach Colleen Hoover books with caution. This one was a win for me. The book has a happy ending, with Morgan and Clara healing their relationship. Conventional story? No. Did I enjoy this book's plot? Yes.

4.25 ⭐️ I could not put this one down. My jaw literally dropped at the beginning. Only complaint is some of it dragged out too long. SO much could have been resolved if everyone just talked and expressed their thoughts and feelings! THE END?? Ugh so good

This was a great book, it started a little slow for me, but man once I got going it was hard not to keep reading, I was really angry with the characters at first, just wishing they would talk to each other, but in the end it was so engrossing I had trouble sleeping!

The only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 is that it really irks me that we never find out how long the affair was going on!! I get it Morgan didn’t want to know but kristen does ( that’s me:))
Otherwise it was wonderful. Got my attention from the very beginning. Another great Colleen story!

Yup, that's what I meant by a Colleen Hoover five star. Oof. Tears at my desk. I guess that's what I get for reading on the job. Seriously though, Colleen's books handle emotion SO well. It's so refreshing even when it makes me sob.

I need to gush about Regretting You by Colleen Hoover. This was such a fantastic book, and I was so hooked from the beginning that I couldn’t put it down.

Colleen Hoover you have a way of crushing my heart and piecing it back one chapter at a time. The beautiful fluid story and your way with words is magical! This book was more than just a love story. It had heartbreak, grief, love, and betrayal.

My favourite part of the book was the mother-daughter relationship, and the dual perspectives of the book. It made me feel so many emotions all the time that I was left craving for more. I would have loved to hear more about the affair but I totally get what the author was trying to accomplish with the last chapter. So although I yelled in frustration, I was actually super happy with the end.

This story is told from dual POV mother (Morgan) and daughter (Clara). Something happens that alters their life and their relationship. This was an interesting story that had me saying “what would I do?” I have a big issue with books that have a key plot element in this book, and this was of the worst kind, but can’t say more without ruining it. Overall it was a good read.
