it was a very cite little book that i did enjoy reading. the characters were funny to read with all the bantering going on and there was a few good learning points included like how you can be open yet not ready to come out and also how the world has become more open and welcoming to the queer comminity yet there will always be closed minded people that make the world still a dangerous place.
i did like reading this book and didnt have any problems with the characters and the writing itself i just feel like there is nothing in this book that made it stand out from the other books in this series. it was just the same/similar plot with different characters.

Another fun addition to this series. I love the snarky banter, no contrived drama/misunderstandings, and great secondary friends/family characters.

I just love Ollie and Lennon. I was honestly not expecting this fake boyfriend to be needed to lie to family lol but I still loved it so much. This was basically a forbidden romance, the closeted NHL player and the sports journalist, thatā€™s just asking for bad things to happen. I absolutely loved Ollie and Lennonā€™s relationship, but Ollieā€™s decision to be there for another hockey player and Lennon sticking with him definitely helped me love it even more.

I donā€™t like the fact that one of gh had to give up heir job with one another , I feel like there was another way to make it work.

This was an enjoyable read, but there was something about it that had me keep putting it down for weeks or months at a time and Iā€™m not really sure what. Probably mostly due to one of the mmcā€™s having the same name as my 4-year-old son, which was rough. But I think it was also partially due to something with the writing.

I did like the banter between Ollie and Lennon. There were several times I was laughing out loud. I just think the fake boyfriend thing was kind of unnecessary. Ollie shouldā€™ve just talked to his family and told them to get off his back. Using Lennon the way he did was, icky. I donā€™t know. Just something about the way he did it didnā€™t sit right with me.

And then the way he finally came out was just sort of anticlimactic to me. All that for nothing, really. I think I am gonna come back and read the other books in this series. Maybe it was just this couple that didnā€™t really do it for me.
