Very unexpected. Nakamura is still an enigma, maybe even moreso now than ever. The rape was completely out of left field. It goes to show these two aren't the only perverts in town. Maybe that's what Nakamura wants. For everyone to stop pretending they aren't also perverts.

This series gets more tense and uncomfortable with every volume. As the stakes rise with every chapter, it's unsure, and nervewracking to wonder, what the limit (if there even is one) will be. Especially when this volume contains a graphic rape scene perpetrated by the initial victim of the MC's sexual harassment. It is hard to see how much further this can go considering this is only volume 5 of 11. Just as each character is reaching their own point of no return within the story, this certainly is the volume to make the reader question if it is their own to and to drop the series.
The characters are not loveable, but the series can get you invested and hook you if you're willing to commit to this (stressful) read.

saeki makes slightly more sense now but i also had to read a ten page attempted rape scene. i remain unconvinced this manga has anything more to offer than darkness for darkness' sake. z out. 2 stars
