Ok bare with me, I liked this book and I didn’t ... It had me feeling all kinds of emotions.

Something that pulled me to this book was that fact nearly every review said .. don’t read spoilers, go in blind, keep an open mind, that twist I didn’t see coming, etc ..
It was like some big secret so I expected something amazing. Well!! I sussed what was going on almost immediately. In my opinion, it was obvious. It didn’t ruin the book but I was a little disappointed. Also, it needs trigger warnings for child abuse (in all forms) & mental health!

I struggled with the romance, it was nice, it added to the story to make it a romance read but it just wasn’t explored enough for me to feel that invested. I didn’t get their absolute undying need/love for each other. I was glad for it of course, I just needed more history other than, one understood and accepted the other.

Then the ending, it was sweet, it was beautiful & it had me welling up with happy tears but it just felt to easy for something not so simple ...

K.Webster handled some sensitive topics & triggers through this book, it wasn’t an easy read at times but it was this side of the book that kept me invested. I wanted to see how everything played out. It brought out so many emotions, broke my heart, had me sobbing, had me smiling.
However, I wouldn’t say they are handled entirely realistically. I often felt like it romanticised certain things & kind of made a mockery of them in a way.
I find myself conflicted because even though I thought this I found I still really enjoyed the book.
Ultimately this book is a romance though, a love story so to speak so I just focused on that. Maybe that’s why you need an open mind

Wow. What a ride…

This book has a way of gripping you and absolutely gutting you from the inside out. I’ve never felt so invested in a book. I don’t want to go into much detail as it would ruin the story for others. However I will say some of this was difficult to read and makes you really uncomfortable but by the end it comes together absolutely beautifully.

Oh My God! K Webster! This is a indescribable love story that will not only grab your attention, it will make you freeze in place until you finish.

Do not read any blurbs, just trust the process, trust that K Webster will not lead you astray. Go in blind, you won’t regret it.

This is such an emotional read you will probably need a good romcom to read after but this is a story that EVERYONE needs to read. K Webster is such a freaking talented writer and this is a perfect example why.

Bottom line READ THIS BOOK NOW!

First big thing is the 'plot twist' or whatever. It was interesting and surprising for this story but a well overused trope/plot device currently. However the plot twist was definitely not enough of a shock to warrant every review and summery to start off with 'you really need to go into this blind'

I suppose the book wouldn't get read as much without that though. I would be lying if I didn't say it contributed to me picking it up. In addition to it being read by my favorite narrator Kylie Stewart of course!

I did enjoy the book though. It was interesting and engaging. The nicknames got extremely annoying by the end. If I hear 'kitty muncher' ever again in my life I think my ears will bleed.

There was one scene in particular that happened before the twist that made me really uncomfortable. Bravo to the author for that, it takes a lot at this point for me you physically cringe from a book, but they succeeded in that.

Over all a solid read.

This book was super interesting. I went in not knowing anything about the book and I am super happy about that. I half guessed the twist but still enjoyed it. I guess overall I was just hoping for more.

Was not expecting to like this book as much as we did! We've recommended it to multiple people because we think it's such a beautiful story that needed to be told!
