Oh my gosh! Absolute perfect sequel! Everything I wanted/expected and so much more! Except for the parts towards the end when I wanted to throw the book across the wall... uggg. And then there were the parts that made me squeal with joy like when Chris found out... Oh my gosh, Meg Cabot hurry up with Runaway! You can't just leave this book off like you did! I am dying here! lol

Simple entertainment. Just as with the prequel, this is for young adults but it includes an interesting and science fictiony idea: brain transplant and how that would affect your life. Funny without being too serious with some endearing characters.

The plot takes on a whole new spin! Being Nikki is definitely a step up from Airhead. Way Better!!It is fun, well-paced and quite the page turner. If your looking for a great teen read.

I thought that this book was hard to get unto until the final third of the book. That's when the story got good and suck me in and I couldn't stop until I reached the last page. I hope that the final installment is exciting to read.

Ok, let me start this off by saying that I absolutely love Meg Cabot’s books. I have read every one of her books, aside from the kids books and the books written under another name. (Oh, and Ransom My Heart, because I’ve been busy with school and now trying to find a job and the like, but whatever, it’s totally on my summer reading list).

Anyway, I received an advance copy of her latest, Being Nikki, and I read it in probably less than eight hours.
This is something I both love and hate about reading her books. Especially the YA. I can get through them so quickly, which is great when I don’t have a whole lot of time on my hands but need a break from my textbooks. But it also feels like it’s over too fast and I’m left wanting more.
Such is the case with Being Nikki.

In this sequel to Airhead, Emerson Watts is living the life of supermodel Nikki Howard…in her body…after a brain transplant saved her life.

She’s already busy juggling her roommate, her “family members” who are looking for handouts, and her many suitors (including a British songwriter who has written one especially for her!), while trying to get the boy she’s loved since before the accident to realize who she really is. Now strange things are happening and Em is starting to suspect that shady dealings are going on at Stark Industries. In fact, she’s starting to question if there’s more to the story about what really happened to the real Nikki Howard.

Like all of Meg’s books, this one was delightful, charming and fun. The conversational tone made me feel like I was chatting with my close friend. Being Nikki was also full of intrigue. I have to say that I was unaware when I started that it was a mystery, but the hints were planted so well that I was making guesses all throughout.
Now that I’m finished, I really can’t wait until the third book in the series is released (or even written).
And I REALLY can’t wait until the next Heather Wells mystery comes out. It’s my favorite series for sure.

Okay..um?!? I'm not even going to pretend this was readable, and with the server problem, it was as if the Universe didn't want me to read it, and maybe it was right! There's no explanations besides the fact that The Story sucks! Big Time! Not just Nikki, but even Em is the dumbest ass and Frida, a whiny one. So much characters thrown into a mix, none even worth a second glance. And it was typical to make Lulu fall for a guy who was not interested. Still Lulu remains my favorite. And I'm not sure this book would've gotten even the one star if it wasn't for her. If the first book made me remember why i like Meg's stories, this second book is enough to show me how full of only noise her language style is, the only thing you get from the book is a headache or possibly aneurysm.

If the book sticked to the plot of the first book, this would've been a slightly enjoyable read. Instead Cabot, who has read too much wanna be nerd novels throws in a typical conquer the world twist, if you can even call it that. How exactly does someone who hates the stark brand be so in love with the software game designed by them? And modelling shoots are only annoying and exasperating , when you make a clown a villain. I would've burst out laughing at the last part if i wasn't already so frustrated with this book. Meg, you rock so good for such a short moment until you lose it hard. Do us a favor & don't write any more books adding to the *noise* . The world has got enough. And mixing up the plots of crazy science lab comics and joker villains is not how you make a book work. Have you heard of this thing called Plot and Character Development? Of course you haven't. Why does that not surprise me?

I wonder if they sell this book at Wal-Mart. Like seriously, I'm curious.
