I thought Acquisition was a really great read and a fantastic enemies to lovers story. As you have Lauren a kick ass CEO from Interstellar. Who wants nothing more than to make her dads dreams come true and Antonio a somewhat mysterious rival CEO. Who it seems always gets what he wants, and what he wants more than anything is Interstellar. As well as Lauren herself.

Yet there was also so much more to this story. Including a mole, an ex who can't take no for an answer, off the charts chemistry and a cliffhanger, that has left me desperately wanting to get my hands on Merger. And for me all of this combined made Acquisition a story not to be missed. Which is why I would happily recommend it to others. Especially if you are a fan of the fantastic Chelle Bliss.

I love a strong, take no shit woman! Lauren is the CEO of one company and Antonio is the CEO of another. He wants her company but she’s in no mood to let that happen. Super sexy and Ms Bliss’ writing is on point. Can’t wait to see what happens in book 2 of this duet!

Oh my.... what did I just read?? I'm stunned and trying to figure out my words for this review and coming up empty handed. It's sometimes difficult to put into words how much you love a book and I LOVED this book!!! Chelle is an amazing author and I have read pretty much everything she's written and she definitely nailed it with Acquisition. I was intrigued and captivated by the characters and story from the beginning till the end. Lauren is a strong, sassy, smart, hardworking CEO in a male dominated world and Antonio is the sexy, arrogant, devilish man wanting to take more than just Lauren's business... he wants her too. This is a definite MUST read!

My word this is one gripping read by Chelle Bliss. It's different in style than Men of Inked and ALFA PI and showcases what an amazing talent this author has.

She has crafted two powerful and dominant characters who stole my breathe away as well as my heart. Antonio is driven but knows that a life outside work is important. Lauren has made work her life in order to honour her father. Whilst the two share a chemistry so got it can give you sunburn, it is this difference in outlook that leads to problems.

There is a suspense subplot that ends in one shocking cliffhanger and leaves me with NO idea of how the story will progress. I'm also looking forward to seeing how the author resolves the conflict between the hero and heroine.

Chelle Bliss has taken her writing to a while other level with this book and I can't wait to read Merger and find out how the story ends.

Lauren knows the company that she’s the CEO for is on the break of a major breakthrough that will be a huge boost for the company. The problem a rival company has brought shares and looking at a takeover, Lauren knows the product will save the company, they just have to get it out quicker than planned.
With the stress of the takeover Lauren does what she normally wouldn’t do and has a one-night stand, someone she would never see again.
Antonio Forte wants the company Lauren works for and decides it’s time to let them know, he didn’t expect to see the woman from the night before at the meeting, and she’s just as shocked.
Antonio always gets what he wants, and he wants the company, and he wants Lauren.
Antonio doesn’t like taking no for an answer in both his business and personal life, and not having Lauren isn’t an option, he has to find a way he can have them both.

This was a decent enough story, I loved Lauren and seeing a woman in a high position of power is always a perk! The story itself was weird. I don't know enough about stocks and stuff to truly say if this situation is true. Also, I didn't really understand Interstellar's save themselves from the merger plan. It didn't seem like it would work at all?

The romance was okay. For the most part I didn't mind Antonio. I don't know if Lauren and his relationship would work out though because they are both very assertive and insistent. The smut was good too.

The main detractor from this story was Trent. He was so awful!! And he's never reported for the shit he does. He is constantly sexual harassing and assaulting her at the workplace. AND SHE'S HIS BOSS! LIke dick die.

Acquisition by Chelle Bliss is book one in a two-part series that will continue in Merger. A lot of authors nowadays are doing this "Duet" trope, having the book end on a cliffhanger and then immediately releasing the next in the series the following month or week. While for some it seems to work and for others it doesn't- this author seems to have caught the market on this book because it was a short and interesting read. It kept my attention and even though I kind of knew who the mole was early on -
because of their skeeviness...I still enjoyed the mysteriousness of it all.

Lauren and Antonio together were a hot couple!! I could just picture him in my mind and what I was picturing made me stop what I was doing and preorder Merger (because I hadn't done that yet!) I mean, it doesn't matter how it ended - if the books not good, I'm not preordering the second one! Some people will get upset because this did end on a cliffhanger, but those really don't bother me much. Now, if you're going to release a year later, then that will bother me. However, the only thing that really bothered me was the s@#$*& content and the heroine going back and forth on how she felt about the hero. Other than those two things - it was a well-executed, well-written book. If you can overlook the fact that it ended on a cliffhanger and wait a month, then it'll teach you patience. The side characters in this are enough that are well-developed and well-rounded, that you'll want to read it. It has some good espionage in it.

I was given an ARC copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.  All opinions expressed are my own and do not reflect anyone else's.
