This series which is comprised of 4 novellas, is definitely a quick, interesting read. However, the first novella was by far the best. Mainly due to the mystery surrounding Mr Dumont and why he makes his offer of an 'arrangement' with Candy.

Unfortunately, once I got past the first novella, and we started to really get a glimpse inside the 3 main characters...that's when the series began to go downhill. The reasoning behind Nathan's actions? While it made for an interesting twist, it was way too far fetched. Plus, his behavior throughout the series was just ridiculously selfish and assholery.

I honestly thought that the story would end up going in a different direction...one involving Drew. If it had, I think I would have ended up giving the books a much higher rating, since that would have been the unconventional, and unique way to go. But, no. The final installment put a nail in that coffin, and I felt like the OTT flowery declarations of love by Nathan were completely out of character and unbelievable. As well as Candy's willingness to forgive him.

How much is your soul worth, Candy?

A question I asked myself repeatedly as I read this book. Nathan's slightly warmer to her and she forgets that he whored her out and treated her like garbage. She even rationalizes how bad he treats her including how she could understand why women stay with cheating men. I never judged her for stripping to earn a living (a girl's gotta eat}. I never judged her for accepting Nathan's offer {her situation was desperate}. But I judge the hell out of her for not standing up for and lowering herself. It was like Nathan's good looking, rich and had magic wand, so she'd willing swallow his shit. I see enough women embarrass themselves like that in real life. No thanks. It's not sexy, it's repulsive. I felt bad for Drew but I ultimately think Candy deserves the life she ended up with. The limo scene made Nathan irredeemable in my eyes and I felt myself recoiling with each sex scene.

The author's writing was top notch as usual, but the characters were not likeable and pissed me off a ton. Though I love the writing, it will be a while before I read another book from this author.

I looooooooved this series!!! Uh.. Wait ?! I already said that before?! ....and I would say it again... I love the Dumont Diaries!

Ms. Alessandra Torre has been amazing in all the books that she wrote. I read...about ..two plus this series, four...which make , six really HAWT and unforgetable books!

I am so tempted to spill all the juicy beans ..about this series...but I have to restrain myself! Golden rule says: No spoilers. Ever. So , here is my spoiler free opinion:

I love how Ms. Torre created these three characters that literally have blown my mind. That love triangle...or should I rephrased it with "lust" triangle between Nathan-Candy-Drew.... was ...was.. deliciously addictive! Normally, I choose who's to root for. It's either Nathan-Candy or Drew-Candy... but then, as a I read...and get to know each a little better, I CANNOT choose!! I love the elusive, seemingly cold Nathan ( her master / husband) ...but I also love the attentive, forbidden Drew ( the bodyguard) ?! I was, Don't make me choose, I beg you!

I love the pacing of each mini series. There was no going "around the bush" , instead you get what you need ...but strange, you still want more?! I was all antsy to keep it going...and going... and going!! ...and it gets even better....and hotter each time! I can't count the number of times I fan myself! Or wish I've taken another cold shower?! Whoooops!! Because Nathan and Candy together? Combustible!

I love how Ms. Torre weave the story into something unexpected. I was about to lose hope ...feeling doomed...and about to yell profanities here.. ( yes! That intense! Like my heart was about to be ripped apart?! ) ...then something came up!

... ..... ..... I was more than happy!! I was humming ...even my inner goddess hums with me?! ( Believe me, she hums a lot ...the entire series! Haha! )
Overall, I la la la love it!!! .....and Alessandra Torre, I love you more!

I really, really loved this normal side of Nathan. I love how this series wrapped up!

I mean, I knew what choices would be made, but I was still happy to read it through.

I am left with a few questions, but for this whole story to be told through novellas as quickly as it was I feel like it got the point across and wrapped everything up fairly well.

If you want more of what happened at the end, there is a extended scene link in the ebook!!!

The ending I was praying and hoping for! I wouldn’t lie, I would’ve loved it even more if we were treated to an additional conflict (cat fight), however this ending was beyond. Nathan and Candace's love story is definitely a new favourite of mine!
