Crowned by Hate

So I decided I needed to read everything written by Amo available to me on kindle unlimited. And I'm glad I did. I'm a little late getting to writing this from when I finished this so I'm just gonna recommend you read it too!

Mind blown. This was my first Amo Jones book, I needed something dark for all the cutesy romance I was reading, and ummmm yeah she delivered. Let me just say...this ain't your momma's romance. This book is so far past dark, it's like the bottomless ocean of dark. It's raw, in your face, and absolutely unapologetic. The characters are so flawed and broken, and there is so much wrong with them, that all you can do is keep reading. This book isn't for those that can't dark romance. Don't do it. However if you like taboo, dark, raw, gritty, slap the taste out of your mouth books, pick this one up, seriously one of the BEST books I have read in a long time.

Logow stuff

This story blew my mind! It's the first book by Amo Jones that I've read and I had little knowledge about what to expect. Amo has this amazing ability to weave a story within a story and you don't even realise it.
Isa is the fearless bad ass daughter of the President of the USA! She's a bit of a rebel, the black sheep of the family. She doesn't follow the rules and she wants no part of the picture perfect life she's obliged to play a role in. So when she meets Bryant, she is intrigued. He's a dark and mysterious stranger who Isa feels a magnetic pull towards that she can't break even if she wanted too. But Isa's past has a way of sneaking up on her, reminding her that she'll never be happy or break free from the chains.

I couldn't put this book down! I tried so hard to read it slowly as I knew that #CrownedByFate is coming out soon. I wanted to hold off on finishing CBH so that I could move directly to CBF. But that didn't happen. About 70% into the book, you're pulled in and you cannot put it down.

Like pretty much any Amo book biggest thought beginning, middle, and end is WTF. This book takes that to a whole new level, which I why I love me some Amo- she always delivers the unexpected, you never know where something is going and twists and shocks and jaw dropping moments are the norm. Plus, a good dash of darkness and psychological messiness.

I’m not even really sure how to describe this book because you spend a lot of it trying to figure out just what the heck is going on in the past, present and future. Cliffs notes- big, sexy, brooding powerful alpha man coerces the POTUS’s daughter into marrying him- she’s not sure why, neither are we, but we know they have a past connection. Our heroine, Isa, a bit of nympho, so you KNOW Amo is going to have fun with that. She’s also pretty fun- she’s outspoken, sassy, independent, and direct. A rebellious bad girl with a sweet streak deep down. Bryant is dark and powerful, charming, stoic, and HOT alpha. The physical chemistry between them sizzles. Their romance ends up being a bit more sweet than I expected, but that is because there is other darkness to explore here.

From their first meeting onwards we spend time understanding their past connection and with them building a relationship. Amo has a unique style- she moves quickly, you have to read a lot between the lines, there are big time jumps, and we’re left scratching our head throughout. We just know both characters have an arsenal of skeletons in their closets and some of their skeletons are connected. I wish we had a bit more meat to the development of their connection- we’re told a lot more than we see, but you still buy in because of their chemistry. Then, we finally open the closet, and classic amo, it is a big fat mind F. You think you know where it’s going and then she basically b#$!@ slaps us with more twists and shocks- you’re confused, then floored. And again, classic Amo, the only thing you say is WTF just happened?

Thank goodness we have a second book coming our way. This could certainly be a standalone (that would leave you reeling) but I’m hopeful for a different end to this very shocking story.

Holy fucking wow! Amo Jones blew my damn mind with this story.

From the very start this story captivates you, I was in deep and didn't want to come up for air until it was over. I felt the world fade away while I got sucked into this world. Isa and Bryant's world.

All I need to know now is WHEN THE HELL IS THE NEXT ONE COMING, BECAUSE I CAN'T BE LEFT LIKE THIS, THIS CAN'T BE REAL...
