I have very much enjoyed all of the novels of this series, and in fact all of the novels I have read by this author. She writes a great historical romance, with clever characters, witty conversation, and well developed family units and/or secondary characters. As evidenced by my rating, this novel was quite good as well. I have to admit though it didn't wow me as much as the previous one, (I absolutely loved Heartley, so it may have just been a tough act to follow). I think also the already existing friendship between the MCs made their feelings for each other a bit obvious, and I was surprised that they did not fall into bed sooner, given the intensity of their relationship. That being said, I still found this novel incredibly interesting and entertaining, as I have come to expect from Ms. Sebastian. I'm not sure if this is the last of the Sedgwicks that we will see, but I am certainly hoping there is more to come.

I tried it twice and finished twice with the same conclusion. It just can't keep my interest. My mind keeps wandering. They are in love and find a way to earn enough for a simple, secluded life. The end.

Was a very cute book, but I have a couple complaints about it.

CW: Spoilers, mentions of drug addiction, torture, and smut

1.
I wish Cat went into more detail about Will's drug addiction and torture/trauma. It was briefly mentioned in the book, but there was almost no sign of his trauma affecting him at all, even when meeting people he knew when he was in the navy. Not necessarily needs resolved trauma, but I would've at least appreciated it if Will got more character from it. The reason being, is because Martin's daddy issues were frequent plot points throughout the book, and influenced most of Martin's character development, and the books plot as a whole (I'm aware there's not supposed to be a plot in this book, but I digress).

2. Before reading this book, I found no mention of this book containing sexually explicit scenes. This made me enjoy the book less for that reason (reader preference). This is mostly a reader error, but it did take me up until this point to find any mention of it.

So maybe I should have started with book 1 of this series-
There were so many scenes where I felt like I should be feeling more for these characters and then I realized this isn’t a stand alone and it’s in fact book 3- suffice to say, I’m not exactly smart

Still cute though, might revisit if I ever read books 1&2.

Gosh I love Cat Sebastian. Two Rogues Make a Right was just the soft, tender, slightly angsty, queer historical romance I needed. This is the third book in the Seducing the Sedgwicks series, and for the most part it can standalone. I found myself a little confused in the beginning but the story focus quickly shifted to  the relationship between Martin and Will. This book looks at queer visibility and safety networks, chronic illness, disability caretaking, and class difference. And as per Cat Sebastian's norm, looks at these themes without centering the story around LGBTQIA+ trauma.

Two Rogues had much the same tenderness and friendship as We Could Be So Good. The audiobook also had the same narrator for both books, and I liked this book's narrator performance only slightly more. There was very little distinction between MMC character voices, which occasionally made it difficult to determine who was speaking. That's my only hang up.

Soft, easy read with charming characters. I was really hoping for an author's note about what happened on the ship. I got the gist but wanted more info. Also would have helped to summarize the backstory with Martin and Hartley because I couldn't remember why they didn't like each other.
