This is such an incredible book. Sometimes, you can just tell that a book will be a classic in years to come. This is one of those books. The writing style, the characters that stay in your heart, all of it. I highly recommend!

I enjoyed this one even more than the first one! The writing is gorgeous and absolutely feels like something poetic and moving. I cried at the end because I was going to miss the characters and the story and I was sad that it was ending. Can't recommend this series enough!

I wish I'd read this straight after WHTF because it took me a while to remember where we were at, but I do enjoy the writing style of this series and think it's a great duology.

I was looking forward to reading this since it came out. We've made our way back to the Zumra and them trying to save the world. I always liked this group of characters and personally LOVE the found family trope and it is what I adored about this bunch. I loved their relationship with each other and how it grew from book one. I love that we met and got to know other characters as well. This was definitely a read where I cared more for the characters than the plot lol.

Nasir and Zafira are the biggest idiots to ever idiot but my favorite thing about them is how much of a freak SIMP Nasir is for her and I just love it. Hafsah had him saying lines that made my heart melt, I loved it.

Altair is annoying but also the love of my life. Kifah was a badass and I adore her.

As for the plot, I thought the pacing was a little all over. Similar to my issue with book one, I felt like too much was going on and I had to go back and reread stuff because some of it didn't make sense. However, the ending did wrap up well. I mostly enjoyed the ending chunk of the book but chapter 113 made me DIE. Overall, a swell read. I enjoyed reading about this cast of characters.

What a conclusion to the Sands of Arawiya duology! It continues with the fast-paced and action-packed journey to put things to right, only this time they are back in their homeland, racing against time. More secrets are revealed that provide better insight into the motivations and beliefs of various characters. The ending is ultimately satisfying.

I'm broken. This book was just *chef's kiss*. It was full of politics, romance, angst, awkwardness, betrayal, family, chosen family, drama, war, and intrigue. I love the world building but more than that I love the character development. I highly recommend buying this book for your TBR. I do not think anyone will regret it.
