Even for a children's book, this short story is boring. The simplistic writing could have been used to tell numerous lessons in an easy-to-read and enjoyable way, but instead all that's told is a bland story with an abrupt ending. The art is a nice accompaniment to the text, and the shift between colours and dark shades is pleasant. Overall, it's a boring book, even for very young readers. It should have been longer; kids can handle that.

I'm torn between whether this is an adult book that is really simplistic-appearing, or a picture book into which really adult themes can be read. Either way, I think it's simply beautiful. The art is fantastic, and the themes that I read into it are especially poignant for me. "Look up beyond your ears," the forest tells Fox. And how true it is.

another lovely book, with gorgeous illustrations and a sweet, hopeful little story about loss.

(read at the library with my friend)

Beautifully illustrated, this book follows a fox who uses a star to light its way. The reader can sympathize with the fox when things don't go according to plan.

A short, quick read but thoroughly enjoyable. It comes across as more a childrens book then anything else though

This is an amazingly beautiful book that looks and feels like a beloved classic.

The illustrations are neat, but the story itself didn't stay with me.
