Uma divertida história de amor com alguns anjos bem atrapalhados, uma boa leitura para rir e se emocionar.

Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy return with an apprentice angel named Will in tow. Of course Gabriel is not informed that the trio have taken Will to New York with them to watch the New Year"s Eve festivities in Times Square. Lucie Farara is in the crowd with her girlfriends who have dragged her out to have some fun. Just before the ball drops, she loses track of her friends and meets Aren Fairchild. When the ball drops - and Will intervenes - they share their first kiss. It seems to be love at first sight and they decide to meet a week later at the top of the Empire State Building after they have both had a chance to figure out if their feelings are real. There is one big problem. Lucie and Aren were supposed to meet, but not for another year. Shirley, Goodness, Mercy and Will have to try and fix this problem while trying very hard to follow the rules, not easy for them. This is a great story to read curled up under a blanket, sipping some hot cocoa, while the snow falls outside. It is sweet and sad and funny. The perfect Christmas treat!

You can always rely on Debbie Macomber for a nice Christmas read, especially when it involves those 'meddling' angels. A nice, but predictable, story.

This was a delightful seasonal romantic comedy featuring an unruly quad of angels serving as prayer ambassadors who keep meddling in human matters and disrupting God’s plan - for better or worse - gaining the attention of Gabriel - as they try to play matchmaker between two lonely humans. This was a delightful and fun read to kick off the holiday season.

Digital audiobook read by Kimberly Farr
2.5**

This is a romance set during the holidays, featuring a restaurant chef vs a food critic, with the help/interference of four angels. Angels Shirley, Goodness and Mercy have a new apprentice angel, Will. On New Year’s Eve they make a quick orientation trip to earth, and Will, in his excitement, causes Lucie Farrara and Aren Fairchild to meet. But they weren’t supposed to meet this early in their lives and Angel Gabriel is pretty upset with them for interfering. Fast forward a year later and the angels have to fix the situation.

This is a typical schmaltzy Christmas romance with more than a little humor thrown in. Some of the situations are downright ridiculous, and the angels, for all their good intentions, seem mostly inept. But it’s a fun read and everything turns out okay in the end. (Surely, you’re not surprised to read that.)

Kimberly Farr is a talented voice artist and she does a fine job reading the audiobook. She kept the action moving along and it was easy to follow. I was a little confused a few times about which angel was speaking, but it really didn’t matter all that much.

For its genre: I really liked it. It was exactly as cheesy and corny as I wanted it to be.

Shirley, Goodness, Mercy, and their apprentice, Will, visit Earth and cause minor disturbances when they bend heavenly rules. Al usual, it all works out in the end.

I read Christmas books year-round, but once it hits autumn… YOU BEST BELIEVE I’m reading at least 2 Christmas books each month! And there’s no other author who makes me love Christmas more than Debbie Macomber. Her books always put me in such a feel-good, cozy mood, and this book definitely did that for me! It was cute, and it was a typical Hallmark-like story.

I decided to read this series out of order, so I’m probably missing out on the background of Shirley, Mercy, and Goodness… but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. Onto the next Debbie Macomber Christmas book!
