loved it

Wow great story. I’ll have to reread the quarantine series to place all the characters! I loved Brandon and he delivered such a sweet HEA! Five huge stars!

Drethi Anis is my go-to author when I want to read a taboo, forbidden romance with dub-con aspects amd she never disappoints. I have been hooked on her books starting with Quarantine series where we first meet Brandon and Mia who happens to be the hero and the heroine for Chaos duet. Discord was sensual, emotional, all-consuming and over all just what I needed. Now that we are done with Milo and Mia Sinclair, I am extremely optimistic about a new duet or series that may involve the final Sinclair sibling, Reed. I know in my heart, Drethi will write him as one of the s€*iest, most arrogant, and deeply troubled villainous hero yet and make me fall in love with him just like I have fallen for Milo and Brandon ❤️❤️❤️

There's nothing I love more than an overly possessive jealous man and Brandon is just that and then some. I couldn't get enough of his need to claim her and remind her that she's his no matter how much she tried to fight it.

Thank you to The Smuthood and Drethi Anis for this eARC.

This is book two in the duet. It continues the story of Brandon and Mia, two people who’ve crossed paths in life and found a home within the other. This goes through their rollercoaster of a relationship, the trials and tribulations. Will they stay together? Will they grow apart/split?

I wanted to like this book, the premise is pretty easy to get with if you like the darker romance side of reading. However, again, Brandon is a rapist and manipulative and abusive. This book doesn’t shine a good light on him and shows the trauma Mia experiences in his wake, but also doesn’t address it? Give it a read if you’re in to dark romance, but I cant promise it’ll float your boat.

This booke is a contiutation of Organized Chaos, the story of Brandon and Mia. Their banter or hatred for each other is so enjoyable to read about and the lengths they go to get on the other person's nerves. I mean, he buys a fancy coffee machine because he finds out she's using her fire escape to get coffee from the kitchen without having to walk past him. He wants to see her and talk with her and be near her, so he buys a coffee machine without instructions to use, so she will have to rely on him to make her a coffee every times she wants one.

I loved the sexy time scenes, the pantry, and the bedroom (with other people on the other side of the door trying to talk to her), all of them were great. The coffee machine was a brilliant idea for the H to get alone time with the h.

Please read the full authors note (below is a portion) the themes of this book can be disturbing for some, and some might even say ick, but if it's for you I do hope you enjoy...I know I did enjoy the parts I read.

The authors note says:
This novel contains dubious sexual scenes and discussions of mental health issues. It's an age-gap romance with an underaged teenager. Depending on your comfort zone, the content might disturb you.

With this being said, I made it to 70% and could not continue. When the manipulation turned to coercion, it was too much for me. The manipulation was fine with me. The underage was okay with me, but the coercion was too much for me personally.

1st person/dual pov
Spice: 4/5

If you've read Organized Chaos (Book 1) then you already know the content of this book. If you haven't then you need to read it before this one. Again check those TW because some of this content will not be for everyone.

Picking up where Organized Chaos left off - boy did things get really interesting really fast! So many feelings about the situation Mia and Brandon now find themselves in. I completely understand his anger, his hurt, how he feels betrayed. But I can also see where Mia was coming from and how nothing she did was with malicious intent. It may not have been the best choice she could have made but she wanted something for herself. Something she had control over and no one else so when she saw that opportunity, and with the man she had secretly loved for years, she took it. The way Brandon becomes completely obsessed with her - yea I ate it up! Even though he knew the truth and hated himself at times for the feelings he had he couldn't make them go away. And even though it became so physical between them (and boy did the spice jump up a notch in this one!!) it started out about so much more than that. You could see that it was still about so much more than that any time he wasn't with her. She was the only person who made him not want to be alone, who made him want more from life.
For her he was the one person who listened to what she had to say. He wasn't embarrassed by her quirkiness or her social awkwardness, he adored it and was in awe of her intelligence. She was being smothered by her family and then there was Brandon trying to show her that she deserved to stand on her own, that her quirks didn't hold her back but made her stronger. Over the course of the part of this book I will be honest, Brandon was not getting the kindest words and thoughts from me. His obsession with Mia went from desirable to cringe as he made some awful choices when it came to her and their future. There was some manipulation there that I honestly wasn't sure I could get past even though it was done out of fear of losing her. But seeing him prove his love for her in ways I wasn't expecting made it possible for me to begin forgiving the temporary insanity he was clearly going through when he made those decisions.
While their relationship may have started under not so great circumstances and was seen as inappropriate by most people I truly feel like they were good for each other and had they not been in the situation they were in and their circumstances a tad not so forbidden, the scheming and manipulation would have potentially never happened. Love makes us all capable of doing some crazy things when it consumes every part of us. In the end things were made right as best as they could be and the epilogue was freaking awesome! I totally think Brandon was behind a certain mishap for Mia's benefit because he knows her as much as she knows herself. And her nephew.. that kid stole the show with one line lol! Wonderful ending to this duet!

3.75 stars, I liked it marginally better than the first book but still didn’t quite get there for me.

I found Mia extremely annoying at times in this one. Raven’s meddling was obnoxious and Milo’s reaction was ridiculous. The parts of the book that *only* focused on H/h were so much more entertaining than their family drama.

I understand the resolution here was realistically the most peaceful one for their family dynamics but it felt lackluster in comparison to the way H burned for her throughout both books.

No virgins
No condoms
Dubcon-ish at times
No cheating
No scenes with others
No cliffhanger

This is safe, no OW/OM drama just a metric ton of family interference.

When I first read Chaos I had a love/hate relationship with the story. I feared what would be happening between the two characters, and it really turned out pretty good.

I have an open mind and believe books are fantasy, creations of the mind. I will state that I don't condone these kind of things in real life, but for the sake of the story and the way this character pairing happened, I really enjoyed it.

Again, only go into this book if you have an open mind and are easy going.

I loved the story, its filled with angst, (don't even get me started the noises I was making...) and personally chapter 20 was my favourite of the entire series (and maybe the epilogue)

Overall, great book, great writing, LOVED it!
