Kelly Elliott is an automatic one-click author for me. Every story she writes makes me fall in love and makes me swoon with pride. This one especially!! A must read!!

This is a story of a second chance. A second chance to make all the wrongs right and to learn to heal as love hurts but also as love never dies if it's your soulmate.

Steed Parker is back home in Texas after 10 years away. Bringing with him his daughter, Chloe.

Chloe's first day of Kindergarten is one day that Steed won't forget as he meets her teacher. Paxton Monroe. The first and only love of his life.

Paxton is shocked as she see's Steed for the first time in 10 years. At the back to school night with his daughter.

We follow these two and their past to find out if second chances really do happen. You'll go through every emotion while we read this addicting story.

Kelly had written the newest Cowboy book boyfriend. Trust me y'all will want a Steed Parker for yourself. Highly recommended.

Lost Love is Kelly Elliott's best work yet!!! I couldn't get enough of this book and was DEVASTATED when I finished it. I'm LOVING all of these characters we were introduced to. The little girl, Chloe, MADE this book. Whenever she appeared I was either laughing or crying from the sweet things she said. I can't tell you how happy I was when I found out that the hero was a single dad.

I SO CAN'T WAIT for the other books in this series!!!

Dnfed the audiobook at about 6 hours in. I am not sure if the narrators got to me or I just could not relate or care about the characters.

Overall, the story wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed the beginning and I thought that the concept of the story was definitely what I was in the mood for. I'm a sucker for second chance romances and Cowboys, so I was really excited for this one.

However, I feel like that's where all the good aspects end. It was cute and interesting up until about halfway through. After that, it kinda just got dull and boring. The main conflict of the story was basically finding a way back to each other while facing their past, which they do once they finally get back together in the middle of the book. So it was pretty much happily ever after already halfway through the book.

The second half didn't really have any conflict to keep me excited or looking forward to the end. The only "conflict" that came up in the second was Kim showing up but that literally only lasted for about a chapter and it was HARDLY anything to worry about. To be honest, the second half of the book felt like an extended epilogue if anything.

The characters themselves are okay. The chemistry between Paxton and Steed was through the roof in the beginning but it kinda died off once they got together. For me, a romance book won't get anything higher than a three star rating for me if the author can't keep me interested even after the main characters get together, which is exactly what happened with Lost Love.

I'm still debating whether or not I'll continue on with the series. I do feel as though all the brothers are all very similar to one another and are pretty much the same exact character (playboy Cowboys who are not ready for commitment or relationships so they just sleep with various women) but with different names. I'm not really looking forward to reading 2-3 other books with recycled characters. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think the next book I'd actually about Amelia so I might give that one a try since I really enjoyed her character in Lost Love.

I swear... This woman wins me over every time I read a book by her. She always makes me feel every emotion and I'm constantly swooning over the male character. SERIOUSLY. Why can't they be real?! If they really are, where can I find one?!

This is my first read from author Kelly Elliott and the first in the Cowboys and Angels series. First, the good stuff! I enjoyed the cast of characters, the Parker siblings were hilarious and I actually liked that the brothers were all manwhores (with the exception of Steed) because it'll make their stories more interesting later. I liked that Steed was so lamentable for his past actions. I'm a firm believer in the power of saying (and meaning) sorry and his actions and words were very effective. Paxton was incredibly sweet, strong and in the end forgiving. I was able to relate to her the most, completely felt her anguish and sorrow. Last, adorable little Chloe, Steed's daughter. Don't we all WISH our kids were that angelic?!? The only reason why this story wasn't perfect for me was because it became a tad sappy and repetitive for my tastes. I wanted Steed to be more ALPHA and dominant. Otherwise, this was a good book about forgiveness and starting over, about family and small town life. Told from dual POVs with a sweet end. I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
