I enjoyed a lot of this book. I had to age the characters up in my head because I didn’t realise they were minors until I was part way in. I assumed they were 18. That’s on me for not reading the full blurb & trigger warnings.
Somewhere in the book Carson just switched from bad boy to lap dog which I didn’t exactly love, but all in all it was pretty decent.

This book was so fun and such a quick read. I devoured it. It would have been 5 stars, but for me the ending was so rushed compared to the rest of the book.

I was really excited for this book and while the story did have good aspects to it, I was a bit let down. My first dislike is my own fault. I don’t care for stories with teenage MMC’s and these character defiantly act like teenagers. I cringed a number of times at the characters. But again they are supposed to be kids so I can’t judge too hard in that aspect. Next, there’s definitely a physical attraction between the main characters, yet their relationship lacks any real depth. The characters themselves lack true depth as well.
The one scene where we get any depth from the MMC is when he discusses his future and what he wants. He’s upset and feels he’s stuck in being the football star because that’s what his dead dad wanted for him. He also mentions he’d rather be a lawyer like his mother. Yet, at the end of the book, he’s about to be drafted for football…? I wish we had seen that emotional conversation have an impact on his future.
Also, the plot of the story kinda falls off toward the end and the main characters go at it like bunnies. A lot is left unresolved. In the end, it was just an okay book but I am curious about The Wicked as I was intrigued about the MMC of that book.

Good read

I really enjoyed this book. It’s a lot fluffier than I normally read as I love a good dark romance. That being said this was good. Logan and Carson are adorable and I really liked their dynamic. The spicy scenes were really good too. Overall this was a very good read and I’d recommend giving it a shot!

I love bully/stepbrother romances, but normally the MFC is such a weenie and such a damsel in distress. This book was different. Logan is a bad bish who takes not shiet. Carson dished it, and she took it, and gave it back. I loved it!!

I really enjoyed this book. Logan and Carson are perfect for each other. I love how strong willed Logan is, doesn't take shit from anyone, including Carson, his friends and even her dad. She was feisty from the beginning and held her ground. The spice and tension between Logan and Carson was hot. They're both strong characters and once they let their feelings get the best of them, things heat up quickly between these two. I loved getting their story and I actually adore the two side characters as well!

Logan and Carson are soon to be step siblings that have crashed into each other’s lives with little to no warning once their parents decide to move in together. The attraction is there from the vary start, but Carson is just determined to make her feel like she doesn’t belong and recruits the help of his two best friends, Hayden & Levi.

Carson is an Uber rich football player basically has a “fake” girlfriend with everything going according to plan until Lo shows up. He uses that angle & Logan being “from the south side” aka wrong side of the tracks to push Lo away, all while wanting to pull her closer. And y’all, once he has a taste… he just can’t stop himself for going back for more
