I don't know if it's the author's style, but this book, like the previous one, was very slow to start. And it shouldn't be like that as most readers of this series, mostly likely has watched the show, ergo already having the background knowledge needed to enjoy this world.
What saves this book for me, is the ending. Any book that has me in tears, is a good book. Hands down.

- The Shadow of Kyoshi was more evenly paced than Book 1.
- Rangi and Kyoshi <3
- This book emphasizes that the Avatars are still human & make mistakes. I can't wait to start The Dawn of Yangchen!
