“It’s like I told you last night. There is no one else for me but you. That means I slay all who attempt to fuck with you. I destroy any who want to hurt you. You are who I kill, maim, and die for, sweetheart. And I will fight ruthlessly toward that death if it means you come out standing on the other side.”

I loved this so much!! J. Saman is slowly but surely winning the no-return way to my heart!!

This author is becoming one of my must one-click now guilty pleasures. There is jyst something about the way that she writes. Great Characters, especially Carter,. Loved seeing cameos of Oliver again. Looking forward to Landon's book next.

There were a few moments that I wished had been fleshed out more but all and all a solid book.

J. Saman is one of my favorite authors!

Grace is Carter’s little brother’s best friend and they’ve grow up close together. Now, Carter is Grace’s attending while she is a 3rd year resident. But Carter has been harboring a crush on Grace ever since he got back to Boston. After Grace accidentally uncovers her fiancé has been cheating on her she winds up on Carter’s doorstep and allows her to move in while she gets back on her feet.

This is Book 2 in the series set all on the Fritz brothers (who are all medical doctors) I’m definitely going to go back and read book 1 which is Oliver’s (Grace’s best friend) book and find out more about the rest of the brothers.

I am thrilled to be part of Grey's Promotions Book Blitz for Doctor Mistake, Book 2 in the Boston's Billionaire Bachelor's series. I first met the Abbot-Fritz clan in [b:Doctor Scandalous|58614740|Doctor Scandalous|J. Saman|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1631226993l/58614740._SY75_.jpg|92174865] which is Oliver and Amelia's story. Ms. Saman does it again with her refreshing writing which is filled with a well-researched portrayal of OB-GYNs and their exhausting schedules. Carter and Grace have grit and stamina as they work toward the final goal of finally finding the one they are meant to be with.

Dr. Carter Fritz is the mysterious and stoic brother of the family of doctors. He is a tough mentor to his residents including long-time family friend and best friend to his brother Oliver, Dr. Grace Hammond. The moment she returned to Boston and started working for him, he couldn't catch his breath. She's smart and driven and she's the one he wants. Patience be damned.

Dr. Grace Hammond is devastated by her fiance's betrayal and loses her confidence and trust in herself to find someone who truly loves her. Enter the gorgeous and kind, Carter Fritz. The brother of her best friend and her boss is letting her stay with him until she finds her balance again. Perhaps a fling with Carter is what she needs to boost her confidence. But living with this sexy man who is giving her mixed signals is playing havoc on her heart as she falls under his spell.

Carter is just so yummy. He's charming, sexy, protective, and oh, so in love with Grace. He's also a very determined man and will stop at nothing to win the girl. His slow seduction is delicious and holds a few bumps and twists along the way, but with good advice from his brothers, he makes everything right. Grace is a strong woman who loves her career and when things get hot and heavy with Carter, she's concerned their professional life may be harmed. But Carter has her back with his vow to keep her safe and to let her take back control in her life. These two lovebirds are scrappy at work and make love when they get home while trying to keep their relationship a secret which doesn't quite go according to plan. It's a book I couldn't put down as a cheered for this lovely couple to just so those three little words.

Of course, the Abbot-Fritz family members are a wonderful addition to this series. Oliver is such a great best friend to Grace and I love the part where he finally lets go of being the man in her life and gives that role to his brother Carter. Masterfully done.

I recommend this delightfully charming story about unrequited forbidden love. The writing is skilled and well-versed in medical lingo and the characters are delectable, appealing, and very genuine as they face some personal battles with unconditional support from their family. I can't wait to read more in this series.

Thank you to Ms. Saman for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

4 stars, I liked this one better than the first one due to the banter and how it played out. Still lots of whiplash moments due to Grace being fresh out of a bad relationship and Carter being the playboy he is portrayed to be. The "insta" is natural.

One bone to pick- if he was that strongly attracted to Grace, even if she was engaged, it didn't seem to affect his sex life. So its hard to believe he was SO in love with her SO fast, when he was sleeping around with no regrets. All of a sudden he was "all in". No wonder Grace had doubts!

I had several other highlight opportunities but no wi-fi so this is what I have left over :(

Grace clearly had no fucks to give when it came to a filter about Tony, and she heard about it in such an awful way:
“Well, now he can fuck all those women all the ways he never did me without having to bother rushing home to me. My vibrator gave it to me better than he ever did.”
Carter chokes on his breath, covering his face with his hands. Oliver makes a gagging noise in the back of his throat.
“Incidentally, did you pack it?” I ask.
“I have no idea,” Carter grumbles between his fingers. “I grabbed from drawers and just threw whatever I touched into the suitcase.”

Tony- not sure why having him respect her too much led to his cheating, why not just have him be a player instead of giving him a reason?

There was some (in my view) unnecessary drama with Janet and the Tony thing petered out pretty quick, it was mostly about the work they did at the hospital together. The epilepsy thing was an interesting sidebar in the story.

The pregnancy thing happens way late in the book (70%) IMHO. I was looking for it sooner but it all played out well.
"I (Grace) look over my shoulder at her. “You realize the irony of this, right? I’m an OB-GYN. Accidentally getting pregnant is like the most ridiculous thing we can do.”
“Not just accidentally pregnant, babe. Accidentally pregnant with your OB-GYN attending man-lover. This is like a Top 40 solid platinum album here. You’re a country ballad waiting to happen.”

I liked the supporting characters, probably why I am continuing this series. Book 3 makes so much more sense now that I started at the beginning :)

Poor Oliver, he's had it:
“So you’re pregnant. And you’re with my brother. Not just living together but together together and that means I’m going to be the uncle to your kid—not just in title, but for real—and once Carter mans the fuck up and marries you, you’ll be my sister, again for real.”
Grace gnaws on the corner of her lip, trying to hide her amused smile. “Yes. That about sums it all up.”
“I wasn’t asking. I was telling you. That’s what’s happening here, Grace.”

It was funny at the end, Carter kept spilling the beans to everyone before Grace could. He was so happy and proud and that was a satisfying part to read.

You know books with dual POVs where every time you're with one character you're counting down the words for it to end, that was me with Grace. She is so entirely in her own head, and I understand where she's coming from, Tony messed her up when he cheated, get it, cool. But you could probably have removed almost 70 pages from this book of her repeating herself again and again, and nothing would have been lost from the book! Same with her repetition of her epilepsy. It was so over worked, about how she has a handle on it now, how she knows she's lucky she was able to it under control and not have a seizure in four years.

Twice in this book HIPAA is mentioned, the first time it's incorrectly stated as HIPPA. For an author who writes about medical personnel and choose to add this in there, I don't know how that was missed, by her or by her editors. It was correctly stated later in the book as well. And if the author was trying to play dumb or whatever because the character who said HIPAA (incorrectly as HIPPA) isn't a medical professional, it was spoken, the pronunciation is the same! So that's even worse if that's the case.

Carter is great. I loved him and his POVs. Grace definitely calls him alpha more than should be allowed for a non shapeshifting book.

A lovely, but hard fought relationship with obstacle after obstacle thrown down in front of them, but their heat and fire burns them all down.

Carter Fritz and Grace Hammond's lives are horribly intertwined. Carter is the attending where Grace is working as a third year resident. Grace has also grown up with the Fritz family and is the best friend to Carter's younger brother, Oliver.  And when Grace's life disintegrates right before her eyes, she ends up as Carter's roommate while she sorts things out.

These two have a ton of heat, but taking things to the next level is complicated at best. While, Carter wants more from Grace, she's not in the right point in her life professionally, emotionally or romantically to accept more from him. Things are complicated at best, but could they be a mistake?

Doctor Mistake contains a story about a family that may come from money, but decided to put medicine first. I loved being part of this family and jumping into this couples journey. Everything about this book was a brilliant surprise. Carter was one of those surprises that I thoroughly enjoyed. I wasn't sure about him at first, but he was a lot more than I first expected.
