Red Rope of Fate was very fun to read and unlike anything I had read before. The characters are engaging and it is fun learning more about their personalities, motivations, and secrets. The story explores a lot of different kind of relationships and how they develop as a human and an elf get a unique mental bond. This bond thrusts them to the center of the relationship between the humans of Calnor and the Elves of Lessa. There is a good mix of adventure, non-gory fight scenes, clean romance, mystery, friendships, politics, creative magic/abilities, and humor. It is the first book in a series and will probably make the most sense if read first even though the others are technically stand-alone. Readers who like the books of Melanie Cellier, Tara Grayce, and K.M. Shea's other books would likely really enjoy this book as well.

You can definitely tell this is one of ger earlier books. I really wanted to like it. The premise is very similar to some DnD characters my husband and I had. But there's a lot of telling and very little showing. I REALLY like her other books. If this is your first book of hers you are looking at, check out some of her others.

Nice easy fantasy romance read. Some of the aspects of the conspiracy and the circumstances seemed a little bit under developed to me but I enjoyed the book.

This is my new favorite book. Oh my goodness.

A few years ago, I lived in Japan as a missionary from America with a Brazilian organization, and somehow this fantasy book about elves and humans perfectly captured that specific brand of culture shock-at least to me, haha. It was so well done-a ton of hilarious culture shock, without ever going into second hand embarrassment territory-I am so impressed! I could relate to this so well, and I loved it.

The romance was adorable, and I loved being able to read from both of their points of view.

Also, Seer Ringali is my husband. Fight me. xD But seriously, his character was amazing. He stole every scene for me.

A quick happy book. So far, I'd recommend just about anything by K.M. Shea.

Had its cringy moments. But I genuinely believe with a little more polish, it could work. Definitely not a heavy fantasy though. Meh

I'm not even sure I like elf/human interaction books besides Tara Grayce's Elven Alliance series. All I know for sure is I started this book and very quickly decided I'd enjoy it more if I just re-read Elven Alliance.
